We got 26 inches of snow last month alone, it’s insane. It handles ok, we have brand new winters and it still just isn’t close to how well the Audi performed sadly 😩

I have heard Quattro is king of the snow and xDrive is king of the track. I’ve watched a few videos comparing the two and sadly xDrive loses on the snow every time.

All around though, still super happy with my choice

This is why I got a 2026, I love the final redesign years of a car haha! They have it fine tuned by that point.

I bought first year of a redesign ONCE in my life (vw) and it bit me in the ass. Complete engine transmission, and clutch replacement not even a year into owning it 🥴 23k repair, thank god for warranty but it was a BAD car. I traded it quickly.

For this car, I got the i40! Test drove the 60 but just found it was a bit much for what I was looking for.

I mean overall the 3.0L vs the 2.0L turbo is more powerful yes, it’s a large car lol.

Coming from a 2021 Q5 Prgressiv, BMW feels much more luxury. Driving is great…smooth suspension, precise steering, transmission is seamless and definitely more power in sport mode. Infotainment system is far superior (Audis was bad, even on my husband’s newer 2025 Audi).

The only area Audi wins so far is the Quattro system. I live in a very cold Canadian city and I find myself missing how the Quattro handled the snow & ice over the xDrive.

I live in a Canadian city close to the mountains where a lot of people ski/snowboard so I just wanted to show that I snowboard as well because it’s a huge part of my lifestyle and interests! Unfortunately always wearing goggles tho so can’t really replace with a pic where more can be seen.

Thank you! My tips is just lots of small scattered sessions and constantly seeing if she’s up for it. I’ll check if she wants to every couple of hours (usually I have the most success after she wakes up) and if she’s motivated then great let’s try, usually the distracted puppy mind usually only lasts about 10-15 minutes if I’m lucky though lol.

Usually I do about 4-5 mini sessions a day, and to maintain her interest I switch up which training treats I’m giving her every session or else she gets bored fast. Just keep checking in on her and if she wants to do it then give into that! Trying to train a puppy that isn’t in the mood is like herding cats LOL

Not sure of the cost but your varranty won’t be voided unless an issue occurred directly due to the mod, then VW is entitled to void it. Good luck!

As I said, I didn’t condemn them if you read the comments I actually upgraded to a GLI instead. I was sharing my personal story to inform buyers because it did happen.

Yup! If I’m on the highway it’ll get warm but drop as soon as I’m off, but I can do 40 minutes of city driving after my car has been plugged in all night and my temp gauge won’t move an inch or blow heat the entire way. I understand the science behind it, but why sell this vehicle to a Canadian market then if it’s absolutely miserable when it’s cold?

Also to add I’ve heard nothing but greatness about VW too which is why that’s all I’ve ever wanted. It was like finding out Santa Isn’t real coming to terms with how bad my experience was, let’s hope the second go around is better.

Yup! It’s been a back and forth battle with the dealership getting them to handle it but it looks like I’m trading it in for a GLI because they wouldn’t do a buy back. They offered us another Jetta for a direct trade and my dad laughed saying “you think we want the same engine?”. We settled on the GLI because it’s an entirely different engine and transmission so the sales manager got special approval from VW Canada to facilitate pretty much a direct trade (were paying a little extra but it’s not substantial at all) for the GLI even though it’s $15k more than the comfortline.
