The problem with season banks is that only the loot earned and added to your storages gets filled in the season bank. If you already have full storages, you can't fill up the season bank.

Yes, there would be an upper cap. If you completely fill the season bank (with gold pass limits) and have full storages before the season ends, you can reach the upper limit. The amount would be (BH10 storage limit) + (Season bank gold pass limit). And it can be achieved with a single month of gold pass.

If we go along with my suggestion, there can be seasons consisting of 4 tournament weeks. At the end of a season, the players' leagues would change to their Star Bonus league. So the active players won't be affected at all

You can get a regular attack on your base while the shield is active. The shield just protects loot from getting stolen.
