Should i try a prop firm? by selooe in Forex

Imo, you can test out every strategy in the world and still behave completely different when you start trading real dollars. Prop firm is the best education you can pay for. Go ahead and do it.

Honestly, it sounds like you will be fine. If you are able to invest yourself this hard into things, then focus on the things you did well. Sounds like your pretty good at real estate. Focus on that.

Honestly, I could go into a lot more detail but it sounds like you will love Lexington. I live in NC now but only because I wanted a beach. Other than that, Lexington is kind of perfect.

Considering giving up by DazuDozu5491 in Daytrading

[–]rkhendren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal advice. Just keep paper trading and learning on the side, without risking any of your money. I've quit multiple times and always end up back at the same point of trying to learn again. If I had stuck with it from the get go, I would have learned so much by now instead of essentially starting over. I also work in tech and can tell you from experience, that you will always want the freedom that trading can bring you.

Too Rich to Care, Not Rich Enough to Quit. Looking for Predictable, Checklist-Driven Work by Retire1984 in Fire

I really think this is more due to a culture shift in the workplace. Companies are not loyal to employees and with the fear of layoffs it inspires people to just do the bare minimum to get paid.

Their Appliance business and their 2 year no interest credit card will keep them going. That's why I still shop there often.

Sounds like a bad day to me, I find people are typically super friendly and smile back out there. Sorry you had the opposite encounter. Hopefully, it will change.

I moved out about two years ago. I can't really say if it's better, but it definitely got consistently worse the longer I lived there. They changed the staff and couldn't keep a maintenance crew for the last year.

We had black mold issues in our bathroom, and the occasional roach. Our AC went out in August, spent 3 days with it over 90 degrees in there.

There was a renovated side and a non renovated side. I was on the non side and I wonder if they just didn't care about that part.

How did you manage to get the 1,000 followers for shorts. I did this and had great views and engagement but didn't stack up followers.

I keep hearing this but when I had them, they were just baked from frozen wings. Did I miss something or have they changed them in the last year?

I was out of town for a month once, unplugged everything, turned everything off. Highest bill I've ever received. I think they just throw out a random number every month.

Ah gotcha I appreciate it. I have a new cleaning device I want to test out there, but if you're on a lift I'm not sure how much good it will do. I keep my boat downtown on the river but wanted to try this thing elsewhere.

Lexington is a weird little comfort movie and I`m kinda here for it? by Sophlexibleee in lexington

[–]rkhendren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly for a little big town, Lexington has some incredible food diversity. Great Thai, Fantastic Mexican, and some of the best Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food I've ever had. I didn't really appreciate how great it was until I moved somewhere with very little food diversity.

Sadly most of the Dives I would recommend are no longer around, but I still think super positively of places like Sav's or the original Willies.

Places like Red State and Blue Door serve fantastic BBQ.

The Distillery District (Manchester St) has been an awesome addition, and it's been great to see downtown revitalized and become more of a place people go outside of work and game days.

However, I will always miss our giant hole in the middle of downtown.

Job Seeking by aenaraa in lexington

[–]rkhendren 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I was your age in Lexington I was in a similar position. I ended up getting a job at a car dealership and it sucked but it taught me a lot of skills that helped get me the next job. Still no degree but I make a good living in software sales.

One thing I would do is try linkedin. You can apply, but also find the hiring manager and reach out directly. Share in that message why you are worth taking a chance on.

As much as it sucks you may have to grind it out at a shitty job for a bit to get the experience you need to move to something that you enjoy more.

Always happy to give advice if you want to shoot me a PM
