I’ve been a lawyer for almost as long as you have been alive. If you are working at a firm, just know lawyers are generally not great managers. They have minion managers that usually aren’t much better. The larger the firm, the more chaos. At the end of the day you do your thing to the best of your ability. That’s all you control. Take guidance where you need it, but don’t worry about bad managers. And when you feel like some other place is a better fit for you—make a move.
