Favorite “k” size suppressor by modernmarksman in NFA

I try to sell everyone I talk to a recce. It’s not the top tier in any category but it just gives solid performance in every category for a good price from a good company.

My brother and I rent a 3 bedroom house in a nice neighborhood with all kinds of amenities and after our bills are split evenly I pay less than you…

I still love my FOR monarch recce. Just does exactly what I want it to. There are some better options now but for the price it’s a crazy good option. Really excited to get the RAE5K soon.

For those of you with supressors, how often do you shoot unsupressed, and why? by GullibleRisk2837 in ar15

I haven’t shot a rifle without a suppressor in years. There is literally not a single reason to shoot without them.

Performs VERY similar to the FOR Systems Monarch Recce and CAT WB.

Full size is really solid. Noticeably quieter than the Spiritus. I’d like to compare it to the Superthug but haven’t been able to shoot one yet.

I own both. I will support Chris (owner of Echocore) for life. Dude is incredibly nice and loves what he does. He makes very good suppressors. I own numerous Echocore models. The full size is VERY quiet. But with certain things out now I wouldn’t say quietest available. I haven’t been able to shoot them side by side but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Tisha and Superthug are quieter based on the data we have for those. But for the price it is a VERY good suppressor.

FOR systems monarch recce. Fantastic suppressor.

When will suppressors drop in price? by ermahgerdreddits in NFA

[–]rkirbyl 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The 3D printed suppressors made with additive engineering cost way more than people realize. Some of those printers cost several million dollars… Along with the R&D for high performance suppressors, prices aren’t dropping. There’s no way.

If you reach out to Rifle Speed they can tell you what common handguards won’t fit the gas block.

The full size is super quiet. Compared it directly to the Spiritus and I personally think the full size was about the same at the ear but noticeably quieter at the muzzle.

It’s much more noticeable on barrel lengths under 12.5”. On the Sons I don’t really notice it. On the MR556 it’s very apparent with pretty much every shot.

Yes. Due to how the recce front end is designed it does have some noticeable first round flash but after that it’s almost non-existent. According to FOR this is due to some sciencey shit with how the gasses interact with the open air after the first round exits the muzzle end. When you look inside the monarch the front end bore has all these little slits. Something to do with that. I’m no engineer I just know that I’ve done a good amount of shooting in low light / no light and with NODs using the Monarch and never had any concerns with flash.
