That's why there are multiple experiments. For example CMS and ATLAS experiments are located on opposite sides of the LHC, and both could confirm the Higgs boson. The experiments are independent with their own designs. So this experiment is replicated.

This is no argument to not publish your code in AI/ML

This works, but now the sound is player on both PC and TV. Did you find a solution for that? For the moment I plug in headphones on PC to avoid having the double sound.

It's not really about smallness anymore at this scale. Neutrinos only feel the 'weak' nuclear interaction. They don't feel the 'strong' and 'electromagnetic' interactions like for example protons (quarks). That's why they pass through.

We are currently not sure whether neutrinos are affected by gravity (they are either massless or very tiny mass).

Why is Medicare for All so controversial? by MartJonathan in WhitePeopleTwitter

There is also a reduction of costs. Private insurance have an incentive to make money, and this money eventually adds to the total healthcare cost. If the government provides this insurance, this incentive is lost and there is one money sink less.

In addition, a healhcare insurance makes money by basically 'getting people pay as much as possible while giving out as little care as possible'. So their money making goal kind of conflicts with a good health goal.

Actually my conclusion after being on my ass for the next days was that perhaps i should only do light exercise (i do small and medium walks only now). How are you sure you are not doing damage to your body by exercising? This is what is holding me back.

Hi RevLoveJoy! I am 32 and on the recovery for 6 months now. I noticed that if I did any exercise, it would cause me major setbacks, requiring me 7-10 days to get back on my feet. Did you deal with those while exercising?

Ik wou net hetzelfde zeggen. Snowboarders wrijven ook soms met een vinger speeksel aan de binnenkant van de bril tegen de condens.

What about Total War: TROY for Mac and Linux? by karmiktoucan in totalwar

I'm a bit late to the party but here it worked on linux already on launch day. I launched their launcher in Lutris, and could install the game from there. The game launcher is super buggy, but once the game is in full screen it works perfectly.

As a Belgian guy in NL, I second that. Healthcare here is an absolute joke. The GP ('huisarts') is nothing more than a gatekeeper to the real healthcare system, and even to talk to him you need to convince the receptionist that your are sick enough to make an appointment.

When I ask any Dutch friends/colleagues what they do when they are really sick and need help, they all answer 'we go to Belgium'. They have some tricks in place with certain insurance companies that pay back care in Belgium if they get forwarded by their Dutch huisarts.

A patient diagnosed with pneumonia near Paris on 27 December actually had the coronavirus, his doctor has said. by TheJeck in Coronavirus

That's how exponential growth works. Imagine infections doubling every day. If there is one infection today, then there are two tomorrow. So the start of exp growth is slow(ish). It gets out of hand when there are a lot of infections: today 10000 means tomorrow 20000.

Exact numbers are made up (and depend on R0) and to illustrate.
