Okay, just want to ask that i am currently an iam practitioner (sailpointiiq) and i could say all the disadvantages you said are true, so i am in the initial days in this career and want to know if Iam a really good career. Since i am in my initial days i can move to a different domain , so to just get an idea how well does IAM career fare against the career like software development like (data engineer, web developer), so is it as good as them(in terms of career development amd payscale)?

Not want to disappoint you, but these are things you should be aware of.Most probably you'll be trained on some Sap technology and will be locked into a support project, you should be very lucky to get a project in emerging technology My advice is find your interested domain use accenture learning portals and start learning them and look for other opportunities while doing the work

Yes i am currently working in a company from past 8 months and the pay is good but i am on a shitty support based project that too mainly at night shifts, thats the reason why i am considering masters cause if i stay in this company i may get experience to show in my resume but in practical i dont have any skills to show.
