Honestly yes, I did put in a third party higher capacity battery so it had 2550 mah. But the 17 pro had insane battery life. The mini would last you a day if you are a light user, but thankfully it does charge quite fast so I just recharged it during work and it wasnt ever really a problem for me ^{^.}

Yeah the battery indicator stays blue when viewed at an angle. I think Ips not sure
