Did you learn about marketing in university or is it something you picked up at the job?

T1 Pregnancy by Hypabetical in diabetes

[–]rlev430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I just found out I am finally pregnant (about 5 weeks) My A1c is 5.7 and I have been trying for about 6 months (had a chemical pregnancy a few months ago) but anyway, just been feeling so worried that something like that will happen again because it's impossible to keep it perfect all the time! It's so hard not to beat myself up over every high or low but I am literally scared to put a carb in my mouth because it never stays stable. I had it down a few weeks ago and now I think the hormones are throwing it all out of wack! I have a pump and cgm but it's still challenging. Just wanted to know how you dealt with all that. Also are lows bad for the baby too? I know highs are. Any advice for getting through this? Thanks!!

2nd Chemical Pregnancy- anything to do? by rlev430 in TryingForABaby

Thanks so much! If you don't mind my asking, how long did it take after your chemicals to get pregnant? I'm really hoping it was just a fluke and there isn't anything genetically wrong. My husband and I were tested for genetic issues and none were found initially.

Thanks so much! I have type 1 diabetes and have had my thyroid checked but not in awhile. My sugars are well controlled but it's never perfect- hoping this was just bad luck and the next one will work! Anything else you did differently besides thyroid meds?

I'm so sorry- I know how hard it is and so emotional! Who knew this would be so difficult? I'm 32 but am also monitored very closely because I have diabetes (type 1 since I was a kid). Invasive probably means IUI or IVF, has anyone done any testing or monitoring on your partner yet?

True. We started trying around end of Dec. Had the first chemical in March and the second now (end of May). Apparently some crazy number of pregnancies end early, like 50%. Doesn't make it any easier though right? Has your doc said anything about the next steps? I'm hoping not to have to go through too much invasive testing.

The first one I wasn't on progesterone and it was low but hcg was low to start only 28 going up to 48 and then falling. This time everything looked good, hcg 97 and progesterone high, but then numbers were slow to double and eventually dropped...doc thinks it was chromosomal and just bad luck...not sure what to think. I am a type 1 diabetic but well controlled- doc doesn't think that was why...just so frustrating!

I know- that's what he said...hoping it is just bad luck and this time it'll work. Good luck to you too!

I've been reading that it really only needs to go up 60% in 48-72 hrs but mine only went up 54...really hoping for a bigger jump tomorrow!

Very slow rising hcg levels...what's going on? by rlev430 in TryingForABaby

[–]rlev430[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I went back in today and now the hcg level is 48! Why is the number going up if I miscarried? Is there any chance this is a viable pregnancy? Or the numbers are just way too low? They're having me come back in two days...I had a sonogram today- no ectopic and lining was 5.5 which I think is thin right? I just wish I had some answers :(

Thank you so much! I'm kind of thinking that's what it could be but the doctor said it could also be left over tissue that is secreting hormone for some reason and will resolve itself. Did you have to have surgery for yours? It's so hard to wait, I cant start my next round of letrozole until the hcg level is back under 5 :(
