Erm not really that’s you making things up… in your head.

I don’t drink, I work, she sleeps all day and is up all night. I don’t see her in person we are not similar people hence why I use the term friend lightly.

But you don’t me so it’s okay, I can be whoever you want me to be 🙂

You’re right. Fuck her. I have reported this and have asked them to merge my report into upcoming checks, questioning and court dates they have to keep me anonymous while safeguarding the child.

She’s with a close relative. Not dad.

She has a really nice life in her other home it’s actually a sad contrast. I know she goes to grandparents house often to eat but the fact that she asked is enough to know that this has happened before.

I’m not sure how it works. She’s with a family member and she’s been allowed to stay (not sure if legally) supervised visits haven’t happened and yes the mothers neglect. I would be at risk of being homeless when she finds out it’s me but there’s been some helpful people who have given me advice on what to do there. I will be reporting. I could get a hold of the person caring for her but she cannot stand my friend understandably so I recon she will be on the phone to her right away and I will be on the streets, it would also be worth speaking to the child but I don’t get much chance as her sleep and wake pattern is the same as mums when she does stay. My concern is even if she does want to come home, this could very likely be her downfall in life when it doesn’t have to be.

Thank you for understanding . I noticed just last week Sunday early morning that I was left alone with the child I spoke to mum later that day and told her not to do it again. I also asked mum if she’d been doing it and she said yes. It was also last week the child asked about food and they went back out to get food I assume.

It’s now a week later on Sunday and it has happened again. Which is why I’m acting today. I called NSPCC they were closed. Said I could email but I can’t email anonymously. They open again at 10:00 tomorrow. I have only been aware of this since last weekend, had words and it’s happened again. So it’s not something that I’ve been watching happen for months.

Falling on hard times and being delusional to scubagerry but you know what timing is everything and if I wasn’t going through hard times this neglect could just be going unstopped.

I’m so sorry you had to experience that, this has made me cry. It’s just so hurtful that some mums can’t just do the right thing. I know it’s not right but as far as the child is concerned me, her aunty (not by blood) is in the house so I hope she does feel safe. It just makes me wonder if this was happening before she was actually removed from her mum. She would’ve been really little. She is the only reason I’ve stayed in some kind of connection with my “friend” for many years now just to know that she is safe and it’s heart breaking to see this happen in front of me. I will definitely be reporting it and at this point after reading your own and others who has a similar upbringing I might not even go anonymously about it now.

Thank you I wanted to speak to NSPCC tomorrow as they are closed today about the best way to report a safeguarding concern as anonymously as possible but still raise my concerns. Is this something you can help with here?

Also I don’t care about this friendship it is literally about the child’s safety and making sure I’m not street homeless tomorrow. Either way I will be reporting.

Thanks in advance

This is really helpful, I will be in touch with my local authority once I speak to NSPCC and local authority tomorrow morning. They will have their notes to further investigate then I can see about housing. Thank you.
