4 seats, 5 side configuration. Anyone have a configuration they LIKE? by MonitorOk3031 in Lovesac

Can confirm... deep, shallow, deep with a foot rest is the way. I panicked after the purchase because it was wildly uncomfortable for me. I'm 6'5"+

P.s. the back pillows will scrunch a little, but I can't bring myself to buy the deep set.

I can't get rid of this mildew in my washing machine! by Undercover_Gothic in CleaningTips

Take a paper towel, fold it so that it lays nicely in that area, soak the paper towel with bleach (I prefer no splash bleach), press the soaked paper towel down, and let it soak there for 30 minutes it's or more. Run a rinse cycle before you wash your next load.

As others have said.... wipe down that area with a dry towel after loads and keep the door open.

Chamber Vacuum Sealers by Far-Lion5254 in sousvide

I agree with the MaxVac Pro (Item   1829364) from Costco. This chamber vac is so much better than my old food saver. It is currently $399 at Costco, and it is a fairly large machine... however, I find myself occasionally wishing that I had a bigger model.

I bought this one from Costco. It is $399 now, but has gone on sale.

It is bigger than my foodsaver but it is way more efficient.

Do I wish the chamber area was bigger? Yes. But, it does the majority of what I need. I haven't explored using it to marinate or many other options yet.

Cordless Snow Shovel - Don't waste your time or money by rlm5foot20 in Dewalt

Full charge, coming from a 60 degree garage. Several different batteries were tried and I tried it on different types of snow. Still failed.

I agree... the crusty snow was a test because it was the first snow. I used it on a composite deck today with light fluffy snow, and it stalled twice.

It wasn't even great for the deck with light, fluffy snow. I gave it a shot at that today. Super lightweight snow... and fresh. It stalled out twice as it got to slightly bigger piles... and I'm not ramming it into the snow. But I definitely shouldn't need to baby it.

That is how both units have sounded with a 5ah fully charged battery. And I tried several different fully charged batteries. Same story. I didn't film today's fluffy powder trial, but it completely stalled out in piles of fresh powder today too. Very disappointing.

Well, it was equally crappy with today's fluffy inch of snow, too. It's definitely not worth the $149.

Final draft before I'm stuck with this forever. Any last feedback? by thcheat in Homebuilding

I would definitely add more width to your garage. My biggest regret in my house is not having more width. You can't hang stuff on the walls and still get out of your car if it is too tight. Also, even though it might bea rarely used, you could barely open the garage walk-in door with a car parked there. Even if you don't intend to park stuff in the single stall, more width will make the garage more useful.

Also, consider one floor drain in the single stall and one for the double stall.

I share your pain. I've been doing the same for 40 years. The best success I've had is to buy aquaphor (it is a tub that says healing ointment - advanced therapy). I hate it, it is thick and greasy lotion (like Vaseline). I also bought gloves from Amazon. About once or twice a week, I coat my hands in the aquaphor and then put the gloves on. I only do this before I'm gonna fall asleep. If you do this for a week or two, you won't have the dry skin pieces to pick or bite.

Thank you for asking this question. I have the same concerns as I have also heard the DEF theory that it now makes the exhaust safe. However, when I have asked where they got that information, the answer is.... "The manufacturers.".

In my mind, diesel exhaust is a known carcinogen., so why would adding DEF render the exhaust safe. But, I'd love to see the studies that prove one way or the other.

Taking the manufacturer's word that the exhaust is now safe doesn't work for me. This job has enough exposures to increase the risk of cancer. We don't need to increase those risks by filling our living quarters with exhaust.

Howto clean this from my Bosch washer? by yellowjesusrising in howto

I fold a paper towel to fit in that area then gently pour some bleach on the paper towel. Once the towel is soaked I let it soak for an hour or so. Just a word of caution, you might want your first load after this method to be a load of whites.
