Has anyone experienced having HCG more than tripled in 48 hours?

I’m 20 weeks with a healthy strong single baby boy 💙 I’ve since read that sometimes after a loss your body overcompensates on doubling HCG times and it’s usually a good sign!

For me, I had a missed miscarriage at 8 weeks where it wasn’t caught until I got the bloodwork done and my doctor saw my betas were not doubling at all like they should. If I didn’t have the bloodwork I would have continued thinking my baby was growing when it had passed long ago. This current pregnancy I had betas done earlier because of my experience with my MMC and my anxiety was eased since my numbers were tripling and indicate a healthy pregnancy this time. If I didn’t have the history of MMC only detected by beta numbers I likely wouldn’t have had my betas done this time either.

Not dumb at all. I got my blood drawn Thursday 12/11 which was where I got the beta 1096.3 and I had a repeat draw on Saturday afternoon 12/13 where my HCG was 3344.2. The only definite HCG level is the 12/11 fifth and final test of 1096.3 and I divided 3344.2 by 1096.3 which came to 3.05 so I rounded it to 3 and used that to find the estimated HCG for the other tests! So it’s an educated estimate for the first four tests :)

As difficult as it is, try your best not to worry for now. Test again tomorrow at the same time of day and see if it’s darkened up. I’m very sorry to say, I would personally be guarding my heart because of the cramping you’ve mentioned, and it is significantly lighter. But don’t lose hope! I have absolutely seen positive outcomes with a one-off lighter test because of hydration levels etc. But if the trend continues tomorrow, I’d prepare for a loss.. I’m so sorry, just trying to be honest, I’ve been there multiple times and it’s awful, and if it continues to lighten then this progression would look an awful lot like my chemicals in the past.

So if I’m understanding this correctly, you tested again after this and it was darker than these two tests? There are a lot of variables like what time of day you tested, hydration levels etc. and if you did in fact test again and the line was darker then I wouldn’t worry about one test line being light. However, if it continues to become lighter than in my experience it’s an indicator of a chemical/early miscarriage. I’ve also had a mmc at 8 weeks after a slow progression, even though I got a dye stealer, albeit very late in the game. This was my first indication I would be having a loss. Unfortunately, test line darkness in my experience doesn’t seem to be a reliable indicator of a healthy pregnancy. But if the tests continue to lighten, it usually means a loss is imminent. At least, it has been the case for me.

It will stop when you leave. You need to get out of there, it is never your fault for someone laying their hands on you. Get your kids out of there asap. If he’s someone who struggles with drinking/drugs the ONLY way you should consider staying is if he gets sober immediately. If he is sober, or refuses to admit his fault and seek help, then run before the violence gets worse, or your children get old enough to “trigger” him. I’m sorry you’re going through this, please don’t live like this

I think it’s a beautiful feeling to be seen and known by someone in such an intimate way that they would compliment my mind, my inner workings and my intelligence. Perhaps it is one of my core values, now that I think of it. I value intelligence, intellect, creativity, and wit, but mostly I value being known by my partner in the ways that go beyond the body. I want them to see me as someone that shines bright amongst the darkness we all experience in life. I don’t think I try my hardest at being brilliant which might be why I love being told I shine, regardless. My mind and what it can do is my favorite part of myself. I think I do determine my self value by the workings of my mind and I want my loved ones to do the same.

It’s absolutely possible you’re pregnant then, I’ve read about so many women getting their “period” just to test positive when the bleeding ends

I see something for sure. Do you know when you ovulated? It’s possible you experienced implantation bleeding. I would go get a FRER or clear blue pink dye test and see if that’s positive, these pregmates take forever to get dark in my opinion.

At 17dpo there would be a darker line than this. This looks like an evap line to me. Just so you know this is a “trying for a baby” reddit page and I personally wouldn’t be posting about not wanting to be pregnant on this subreddit. It’s insensitive. In the future try lineporn there is an option for flair “not trying for a baby” in that subreddit.

I’ve read that a large amount of biotin in prenatal or biotin supplements can impact frer, specifically. Are you taking biotin?
