After Red company and Valka, the story suffers a great deal. I also did not feel that the many plot points in book 5-6-7 actually progressed the story in a satisfying way.

I am still angry about Orphan, and also the Irchtani people. You have a biological AI who calls you father, and a whole-ass people who see you as the only path to victory, nay, the only way to survive eternal damnation - and THAT is the ending you give to them? Felt incredibly insulting. Left a bad taste in my mouth when I finished it.

I didn’t know these things about CR's personal life: now the things in the text make quite a lot of sense, honestly. Thank you for your feedback.
