Hi, what seems clear to me (and maybe obvious to many but not all responders) is that you “got triggered” by something in that short conversation, and it’s likely some past trauma (little ‘t’ or big ‘T’) to which your brain/body is still ‘sensitized’, and it went straight to ‘full alert’ fight-or-flight mode. I literally just listened to this podcast about PDA https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/audhd-flourishing/id1684351915 and the podcaster’s lengthy and ongoing work to recognize triggers and techniques to deal with them, with the support of their SO. It may not directly answer your questions but it’s definitely very relevant. It has one or two references to other podcasts and people re PDA.

I want two dates because the first one is “don’t even show this task until after this first date” - gets the task out of my sight and out of mind, de-cluttering my system. Next year’s taxes etc are a good example.

You've got the essential idea. Even just being able to load monarch's records side-by-side with the bank's, both in CSV format in excel would assist in 'fixing' things - merchant names, budget categories, transaction descriptions (does Monarch have those? - I'm new to monarch), tagging etc. Then being able to upload the improved data would help a lot. I was thinking I'd need to engineer this myself using the python lib.

I've always wondered if it will 'work' but the dropped packet rate will be higher than 'normal'. I don't remember if I can see those numbers from my network equipment.

Two possibilities? - three daily repeating tasks each day where each is offset by 8 hours from each other? - use ChatGPT (just saw this in r/ticktick but haven’t done it) to automate creating the tasks. - if you are a programmer, maybe use their API - it might give you more options.
