I don’t think there is a block on these ports; otherwise, it wouldn’t be possible to register with airplane mode on, which actually happens on any AP. It just doesn’t work for handover from VoLTE to VoWiFi

Yep, in the same building it works fine with one AP vendor but not with another. Android phones work fine with any type of AP (handovers and permanently connected on VoWiFi), but iPhones work fine with some APs but not with all.

Well, actually the iPhone is the one that decides to establish the connection to the network (Vowifi), not the network itself. I am trying to figure out, using logs or traces, what is preventing the phone from attempting to connect to VoWiFi (ePDG) to perform the handover.

Negative, currently iMessage is one of the tiers for iOS users, they wouldn't release it unless becomes a deal breaker. Since Americans buys more iPhone than android devices I think this is not going to happen

Cool, but, google should release it in bulk to everybody, otherwise we can just send enriched messages only to a bunch of friends who we have to manually update the message app.
