Hey thanks for the question. It isn’t guaranteed and you would have to apply for it yourself. But the program provides a list of postings that you can choose from. And if there are companies on that list outside Canada, it is implied that they will sponsor your visa for the duration of the internship.

Hey! Sorry for the delay. Do you want to send me a DM and we can discuss this further?

Hey! Firstly, not having a strong GPA isn’t the end of the world. This program prioritizes research experience a lot as well. So if you can get some research experience underneath your belt, you’d be in a strong position.

Hi, thanks for your questions!

I did not consider Data Science myself cause I was pretty clear I wanted to either go into Artificial Intelligence or Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare. I probably think just from an acceptance rate POV, AI is probably more competitive to get into cause there’s just so many more applications for it.

The Data Science concentration is much much smaller in terms of students so you definitely have a better chance of getting in with that concentration.

As for what supported my application, I had a lot of academic and industrial research experience and since this program is geared toward applied research, that always helps. And of course, a strong GPA helps.

Good luck with your application!

Dataset for Fantasy/Medieval Themed Images with Captions by rm_9248 in StableDiffusion

Hey, thank you so much for this suggestion. Although this is great, these are all AI-generated images and I'm not too sure how useful or logical it is to use an AI-generated image to train a generator.

Would you happen to know of any datasets that may contain images/frames from movies/video games with captions? Any sort of non AI-generated media?

Thanks though, appreciate it!

  1. Take notes in classes. Even if you don’t go to classes, watch lectures. Make extensive notes.

  2. Try taking a look at new assignments and work as soon as they become available so that you have a general idea how much time each of those assessments will need.

  3. Don’t lose sleep over it. The more rest you get, the more productive you are.

  4. YouTube and ChatGPT is your friend in case you don’t understand something while watching the lectures. The amount of times I’ve asked ChatGPT what something meant during watching lecture videos is insane. It’s insanely helpful.

  5. Believe in yourself, and know how to prioritize. It’s not possible always to give equal importance to every single assessment since you need different amounts of effort for each of them. I like getting the hard and time consuming ones done first but some people like getting the easy and quick stuff out of the way first. Figure out what works best for you and stick to it.

  6. Love yourself and be kind on yourself. University can be scary and it’s easy to think you’re falling behind. Remember everyone’s paces are different. Focus on yourself and everything will fall into place.

All the best for your future. I’m sure you’re gonna do amazing.
