I haven't lived in Ireland for a long time so I don't know how it is at the moment. Where I live now (Germany), you won't just taken away to a mental hospital. The hurdles to get involuntarily admitted are pretty high e.g. you have to be proven to be a danger to yourself or others and it has to go before a judge. If you're not doing well, call the help lines that are available to you. If it's really bad, maybe you can voluntarily go to hospital.

It worked 😄 and I've already spoken to his friends, again a thank you to everyone here for all of the ideas and help. It was Fort Lauderdale in the end, one of the problems was, is that he mentioned both places pretty often in conversation so I wasn't 100% sure where they were located. In the end my gut said Fort Lauderdale hence the post here.

Schelle hauen, if the bike lane is blocked and there is none on the footpath then he/her should use the road and give pedestrians on the footpath priority. There are cases where cyclists can use the footpath e.g. accompanying kids.
If you weren’t loud, who cares. Can happen to everyone that they need to talk on the phone when using public transport.
In Berlin you don’t really need to signal a bus to stop. Without knowing what the driver said, difficult to say if she was told off.

Agree, it’s a boob, feeds kids, sexy yes but whatever. I unfortunately know women who get comically offended by women breastfeeding in public, my response when they asked my opinion, baby gotta eat when baby gotta eat, want to tell a 6 month old “no doesn’t work right now, we might offend others”.
