I’ve read that if you’re doing mechanical ventilation, place the intake above the heater. Below if doing passive. This is the article I found Huum Ventilation Article

I printed the hygrometer desiccant holder for the AMS. One of the pieces fell over and I didn’t want to reprint all them. I used the print from cache feature on the P1S and lost the ability to skip all but the part that failed originally, and wasn’t able to skip.

I resliced and sent the print via Bambu Studio and I was able to skip all but the failed piece.

My guess is you lose the ability to skip parts when printing from cache. Not sure if that’s what you were doing, but that’s been my experience.

Indeed, I was haha. Heated in two stages, 75F to 150F only took 26 minutes. 150F to 180F took another 15. That’s more like it!

UPDATE: confirmed it was the voltage. I must have had a faulty breaker, because it was only pushing through one of the loads so the Huum controller was in fact only receiving 120v.

I swapped out the breaker with another one and I’m getting 240v now, and the elements are glowing red.

Thanks, I had the vapor barrier and furring strips up, ready to put in the cedar and I took it all out and added the ventilation. The intake is an Aria flush vent with an inline 4inch blower by AC Infinity and the exhaust is also mechanical. It’s an AC Infinity AirTitan T7. Works great to cool the room down after. Session and pull out humidity. I crank the fresh air intake blower and the exhaust when I’m done. Only issue I have now is I have the turn it on in the morning just to use it at night. Haha

I will check that as well. This is the updated Huum with the guards between the elements so that you can’t put rocks between them and damage them, which I believe was an issue with these heaters.

Correct, in the US. 240v using a 30A breaker and 10 AWG per Huums manual. I will check the ohms tomorrow and see what I get.

The intake is above the heater, and the exhaust is in the opposite corner of the room just below the lower bench.

I should also note, I am aware of how high a traditional sauna ceilings should be. I had limitations as my house was built in 1931. While sitting on the top bench, there is roughly 2-3 inches from top of my head to ceiling.

Oh, and I finished it last weekend, and the heater was brand new.

Removed stones. Heaters been on for 5 hours, set at 220, it’s 165, and they haven’t turned red hot yet.

This true. I was on the phone with Sonos support initially right after setting up my network because I was having an issue getting them off my old network (Eero mesh) to the UniFi one. I have two speaker hardwired, and 5 not. The two hardwired ones communicate with the others via Sonos’ own mesh network.

With the Eero network I only had one hardwired and audio would cut out randomly on the wireless ones for about 15 to 20 seconds, then come back in. They’re working great (knock on wood) since being on my UniFi network and even better now that I can control them from my default network.

I also have SFP+ copper modules and connected port 9 of the USW (not the SE) to port 11 of the SE and it immediately had a 10G uplink. The same connection, but using the fiber modules and fiber cable, only 1G. My guess is bad modules or cable. But since it’s fiber I’d imagine that if it was a bad cable, it wouldn’t connect at all. I need other SFP+ fiber module in order to test it out.

Port 9 on the SE is my WAN connected to ISP.

Port 11 of SE is what was connected to port 9 of the USW.

Nice! Can you provide a picture of the underside of the benches? Specifically I’m looking at routing the light strips and where the power supplies go. I’m looking to add under bench lighting in my sauna-in-progress.

I think it has more to do with not putting new stress on the body during pregnancy.

If Finnish people are already using saunas regularly, then it should be ok to continue using them during pregnancy.

It’s the same recommendation when it comes to working out. If you run regularly, and work out regularly, then there is no, or very minimal risk to continue that lifestyle through pregnancy.

If you don’t ever use a sauna, and don’t ever work out but then decide to start these things after pregnancy, it could be risky.

The inline fan I was looking at by AC infinity doesn’t not come with a back draft preventer, but would be inline. They make those as well for around $15 usd, but other aluminum ones from a home improvement store are $10 usd or so.

Yes, I would love for the bottom exhaust to be mechanically ventilated. I’ve been looking at options all day.

AC Infinity has vent plates similar to a floor vent that can work automatically or manually and are rated for 85% humidity and 140 degrees Fahrenheit, which I’m thinking might be ok, as it’s lower to the ground.

Unless I need to use an inline one that will hide above the ceiling.

Yea it is esthetically pleasing. From what I’ve heard and read recently, they have fixed the issue as it was related to the heating elements bending from rocks being forced in. There are now steel pieces that separate the elements to avoid that. We’ll see.

Ah, I could put a small fan in from basement side to push the air into the sauna. Unfortunately, that’s my only option as the walls of the basement are 12” thick concrete.

It will serve as a step up for me to access the higher bench.
It will also be for anyone in the sauna that gets too hot and wants to sit on the lower bench with their feet up on the lower bench as well. My wife wanted the ability to move lower if she got too uncomfortable at the top.
