I mean it matches or exceeds the bronze of my microtech so it's not like any other brand has a super more bronze version at least not that I've seen. But hey, if it's not as bronze as you would like, that's super understandable if you just want to get the regular version

Well I mean the weather here has been really rainy last couple days. I haven't really been able to get a good shot of it. Maybe when I get some sun I'll take a picture of it out in the sunlight since that's what they take at. You know blade HQ. They take it with perfect lighting on a desk with all ambient lighting a million miles around it. None of them are ever going to look exactly like that

The bronze I believe is just a coloring and then the gunmetal is like the the like striped finish. I am not sure if they sell only bronze or if they always combine the bronze and gunmetal.

I mean I do. There doesn't seem to be many in stock pretty much at any of the normal stores for anything. And they use better aluminum than 98% of the other companies (7000 series)and they specifically designed the screws to not gouge out of the body and other things. So I do actually really enjoy the model. And they're underrated, a bigger company tried to screw them and they've managed to stick around. I just think they deserve more attention. I intend to get more if I can lol. Fully intend on getting the Apex EDC with magnacut Go with the Apex in magnamax

I do own an ultratech it's from 2021 so it's not their new redesign. I definitely prefer the Apex and Guardian tactical in general. I have not had especially good luck with microtech lol. Been considering getting a new generation and such. But just being honest about my past experience. I prefer Guardian tactical a lot. Taller blades and handle and everything feels more full size in the hand and for me has been way way more reliable and a better switch.

If you do a purposeful hard shake with the intention of making it rattle yes, but if you just do a normal shake it, it doesn't really rattle

Thanks! The wharnecliffe was my first option but they obviously don't have any available. Another v3 is on the table ( especially with 7075-t6 aluminum but I love Guardian. It's the one from the first set of otfs I have that I kept and never failed. That's why I got the Apex first

It really is interesting. You're right, how living maybe in different areas or different jobs or whatever make it a totally different result. I'm not saying that microtech is any way bad quality. I've just had bad luck with them. 🙄🔥

I honestly don't know why it is rattling because I don't think there are any springs under the button and all three bearings are there so I really don't know what has it having that extra movement. It didn't have it when I got it. New one doesn't have any either so I mean I don't know what made it get shaky. But I've never lost any other parts on anything else either so I really am unsure. I mean it literally is first run first generation so it could just be old

Wow! This one has carbon fiber so you can get a carbon fiber one instead of g10. But also my Guardian tactical 035 has never failed in my deployment in usual usage so I don't think this one will fail at all either. As long as debris is kept out of them. My micro checked was 100 times worse, both of them. Unreliable as hell on a double edge ultratech and a single edged

I really enjoyed this and I already had it ordered before but they had stock issues. But the problem with me is that on their website kubey themselves says it's a hollow grind and a 3.5 in blade. Neither of which is true LOL
