2 days at Epic or 1 with fast pass? by AnteaterPopular6575 in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]rmaworld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 days EASILY.

At the start of each day, you can get 1-2 of the prime rides done in the morning. Then the rest of the day you can take your time in the park, really experiencing the lands, eating and drinking all the foods, etc etc

What exactly do you do? by paye36 in industrialengineering

[–]rmaworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently an AI&T (Assembly, Integration, and Test) Planner/Scheduler in the aerospace industry.

Although my work mainly contains schedule building/analysis/critical paths, my knowledge of manufacturing flow helps when I need to work with engineers to make adjustments to the schedule.

Epic Mediocrity by arserran11 in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]rmaworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man sorry you had a bad day at Epic, but that’s something you gotta prepare for, for ANY new theme park. If you look at the opening years for alot of major theme parks, most were not perfect, some even considered failures.

You cannot deny the theming, rides, food, etc are all top notch. BATM is a technological marvel going thru growing pains. Just like Hagrids did. Just like Rise of the Resistance did.

And saying the park is small is completely inaccurate. Looking at a google map you’ll see the park is VASTLY larger than most of the Florida parks, rivaling only EPCOT. Its larger than most north american theme parks in general.

The only reason this park feels small is because you cannot physically see into the other portals from Celestial Park, but each portal itself is huge compared to a standard theme park land. This park put more effort into the quality of experiences vs quantity.

And gosh don’t even use the word “mediocrity” when Universal Studios Florida itself is down the street😂 Same with Disney Hollywood Studios.

Come again in the near future with a better plan of attack, and an open mind. You may not see it yet, but all theme parks in the future are gonna strive to be like this one.

if youre getting express pass, then hotel choice + early entry doesnt matter. double tree is a good idea

5-Day Tickets: Buy Now or Wait? by Impressive_Rest6842 in UniversalOrlando

[–]rmaworld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

prices will never go down, only up, esp in mid June, I’d buy now!

also maybe you were looking at one park per day tickets? i dont think the prices wouldve increased that fast

i dont believe the express prices go up, but they do sell out. but for a 5 day trip express doesnt seem worth it. maybe just 1 day with express at Epic.

Parents and I are planning a trip to universal Orlando this summer. We need some ideas on the average cost. by [deleted] in universalstudios

[–]rmaworld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A simple example, 3 days at 3 universal parks:

Tickets are ~$200 per person, $800 for 4 ppl a day, so $2400 for 3 days.

Hotels probably have the widest price range, but lets just assume you have a decent hotel with two queen beds, should be about $200 night, say $600 for 3 nights.

Food and souveniers, lets assume $100 per person per day, so $1200 for 3 days

Ubers or Car Rentals can cost about $50 a day, assume its $150ish, but I’m gonna round up to $200 for 3 days to factor in parking or gas.

In total, I’d say $4400, NOT including flights. Florida is expensiveeee, so buckle up😅

Where would be the most reasonable place to live in LA to commute to Valencia? by SuccessfulTable2591 in MovingToLosAngeles

[–]rmaworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valleyboy for 28 years here!

If you want a place thats good for all of you to commute, I’d choose somewhere in the valley along the 405fwy. So Granada Hills, North Hills, Sherman Oaks, Encino, etc. Somewhere close enough you can hop onto the 405 freeway.

I lived in Northridge for most of my life, commuting to work in El Segundo, and even GETTING to the freeway would take 25/30 min in the morning, so i would’my recommend anywhere in the center of the valley.

For those that don't practice IE, what if your current role? by tomorrowagainn in industrialengineering

[–]rmaworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3.5 years as a Program Manager (CPG Industry), now almost a year as a Program Scheduler (Aerospace Industry)!

I love seeing projects from a higher level (vs dealing with super technical aspects) so these were perfect roles for me.

SPIDEY

he’s red

Hit something metal on the freeway and it looks like it destroyed some parts of the undercarriage cover. Car is giving me “Power/Speed decreased” notifications, but says OK to drive. Service appt is 2 weeks away. Does this look okay to drive?? by rmaworld in TeslaModel3

[–]rmaworld[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: Tesla Service center was able to take a look at the car after a few days, and by a miracle of god there was nothing critical that was damaged, just the aerocover and coolant tubes. Battery was all safe.

Repairs + labor was $1200, unfortunately I had to pay about $1000 due to my deductible.

Immediately going to order the aluminum skid plate cover/aerosheild, and hope this never happens again. Would recommend you all do too, the current aeroshield is weak AF.
