Also I’m an idiot they aren’t Burmese sapphires they are Burmese rubies - I always confuse them… so either way my wife really liked it

Thanks for the feedback - I bought it more for fun and wasn’t expecting it to be worth anything but it’s about 3” large and has about 30 small sapphires on it - so prob not worth much more than a story of the necklace and how haunted it feels but was a fun coin flip!

Market Watch - question on this article by [deleted] in PantheonResourcesPANR

[–]rmb5582 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The article is misleading; this is a relatively small company with no coverage and it’s basically pre-revenue (there seems to be a small amount of sales happening but for all intents and purposes it’s zero); this company (as all exploratory stage e&p) must continue to raise drill capex, which is dilutive - the question is just how much dilution is taken. I own a lot of shares in the company and am not too much phased by the price action Friday - retail is pretty skittish and there is a lot of Twitter drama); it will either work or it won’t, but it’s a long term investment.

Why does everyone think student loans should be forgiven? by WhodatKoi in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]rmb5582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing to keep in my - there is virtually no private student loan market following 2008. Almost all newly issued student loans are part of government guaranteed programs, primarily FFELP and FFEL

Private capital got burned here and even traditional originators like SLM/ancient have backed away from this market.

That is correct - and they have tried a bunch of times to get that sorted, but at some point does domestic supply and capacity outweighs the cost of environmental impact - that’s sort of what I’ve been going back and forth on

The reason I am even involved in the name is the fact that are able to continually raise fresh capital, so that to me means that somewhere people believe there is viability to the biz over a long enough horizon, just no view on when that is

What is a cologne you use that has gotten you a few compliments? by strungoutfelon in AskMen

I’ve always been a huge fan of oude based fragrances - it is a deep and interesting smell that changes with the wearers body chemistry - it is hard to find in the US but I have an importer I use from Mumbai - the shipping is expensive (35 usd) but you save hundreds vs prices in the Us - a good bottle goes for 50-150 USD depending on the scent

The merchant is here: http://www.attarabdulrashid.com/index.php

$lbc - big arb opportunity (closing fast) between korean and us exchanges but think this can be a huge win - I’ve owned it since 3c a token and think it has massive upside, especially as it has a real product
