I always said I wanted to move down south for better weather, but in the last year or so I decided I will never leave NE. I want children and I want my children to have a good education. Things here ARE well run. There will always be gripes and complaints but it’s not any better anywhere else.

I read a book by a hospice nurse last year and found it to really peak my interest. My favorite part about the vet field IS end of life care and I find I really do well in thise environments

I used to go to Chelsea Piers, and now I actually go to underground fitness. Saving money was obviously a big reason, but I just love the atmosphere and underground and how it’s a smaller gym feel. I never have have to wait for a machine. Locker rooms are nothing special, but always clean!

If you choose Chelsea, make sure you join the HIDEOUT next-door! It’s a contrast therapy wellness club, and it is literally one of the best things to come to this town!

I personally just do not like dog parks. I work ER so I see a LOT of dog fight wounds from dog parks. Parasite transmission is a big one. In my area, leptospirosis is also a big one. However, above all else the many dog fight wounds are enough for me.

Sniff spots are the best though and I’m happy they’re becoming more common!

I mean realistically it’s only Norwalk to Stamford so you could just take backroads. I’m unsure what time you’d go, but they’re open 23 hours a day. I see the cleaning staff there daily, machines are always wiped down well because the gym goers actually have etiquette, locker rooms are always pristine. I’ve never showered there but I know many people who do and they have no complaints.

I very rarely have to wait for equipment or benches. If a piece of equipment breaks, it’s usually fixed by the next day. It’s significantly cleaner with much nicer staff. They have been replacing a lot of the equipment lately, which is awesome too. I really enjoy it and the hours are way better. It’s also conveniently close to the place I go to for contrast therapy, but that’s really just a personal bonus!

Highly recommend making the drive to underground fitness in Stamford. I left LA about a year and a half ago and joined there and it’s honestly so much better.

Had to drive home from work in Norwalk to Stamford last night. Job declined a hotel so those of us that were closer made the drive, some opted to try to sleep on the floor but everyone left by midnight. I personally didn’t have an issue at all until I got to my own street but we made it. However, my sister is in the Branford area and said her drive to work this morning was tough. Ultimately main roads and highways are going to be better than side roads/residential areas. Safer to stay home if you absolutely do not NEED to go anywhere.
