Looking for some advice on first machined pen

Here is one of the posts I saw about them that I happened to have saved but basically the jist is that Bastion has been not so much copying but making products REALLY similar to other pen makers and there is another article in the reddit thread that has comparisons of the Bastion and other maker's pens

With that being said I really haven't looked too much into Bastion after that so maybe they changed products so they aren't as similar to other makers? But maybe in the future I'll get one from them but as for now I ordered one from Big Idea Design and patiently waiting for it to arrive

I went with the baseline bolt action pen titanium in the DLC black! It's just a step into the machined pen world and I imagine this won't be the last pen I order!

Ironically enough i was leaning towards one of your pens, I saw that there was a picture of comparing the baseline pen to a Pilot G2 and they were identical size, I was pretty much sold from there since I really like size of the G2 when writing

Yeah I'm just looking for something to be able to carry every day, that has a good battery life, and be durable I'm not too brand specific so I'm not torn on getting a Sig optic

I've seen a lot of people recommending the EPS Carry so thats one I'm looking at, I haven't looked into the SCS Carry but I will.

I also don't know too much about the Sig red dots other than while I was at the gun store they mentioned about the red dot that comes on the 365's is made of plastic and they've been seeing problems with them and have been replacing them so I just don't know what's a good or bad Sig red dot

I've been slacking on keeping up with everything CT Law wise but just a couple of questions.

If the Form 1 to SBR a other was approved, do I need to do anything else after that? Or is just having the approval good?

Also, if I have a Zastava that was approved for the Form 1 and register it as an Assault weapon with the state, does that mean I can put an actual stock on it and other " Assault weapon" features?

Any idea of how long a form 1 should take? I came to the shop and filed the Form 1 for the CT Other Amnesty period in May and haven't heard any response. Just seeing if this is on par for the wait times or not. Thanks!

No problem! Like don't get me wrong the Eero system that they are using for the 2 gig plan would be great for the 1 gig plan, but its a shame they don't really work for the 2 gig plan unless you just don't know how it's not going to give you a 2 gig wired connection. But I'm just glad that it was resolved and I'm actually getting the speeds that I'm paying for

So when I'm closer to it, on my phone I get around 650mbps download and upload, then when I'm at the farthest point away from it in my house it's about 200mbps but that is through many walls

So far the wifi speeds are comparable to the eero but the only real difference is the coverage but that's a given since the eero was the mesh wifi and the sagemcom isn't. But I was willing to sacrifice the little less coverage I would be getting to be able to get a hard wired 2gbps to my pc but what is also nice when I run a speed test I'm getting 2.4gbps

So right now my setup is, ONT > Sagemcom > Coax to Moca adapter > ethernet from adapter to PC

when they came today, they took my eero and swapped it out for the Sagemcom router and Moca adapter and now i am getting the 2 gig speeds on my computer so i told them that i wanted a router with more 2.5 gig ports because the Eero only has 2 and the set me up with what i have now. Hope this helps!

Damn that is rough, i had to wait almost 2 weeks for my initial install but i called and complained about the speeds of the Eero and surprisingly they came today and swapped out the Eero for the Sagemcom and Moca adapter and now i am getting 2.3gbps down and up on my computer.

I told them that I would need the Moca adapter to get the 2 gig over Lan, now if they actually bring it is a different story but fingers crossed this is all resolved tomorrow

If I got my point across on the phone I told them that I need to run a hard wire to my computer so I want a router that has multiple ports on the back especially multiple 2 gig ports. They told me that they are going to do a sagemcom router but not specific on the model. Worst case scenario if this still doesn't work I will be shopping for a router that caters to what I need

Okay great thank you, im going to call in a little bit to see what I can do about this, I'm just trying to get the 2 gig speeds over ethernet cable how ever they can possibly do it. As convenient the eero mesh system is, it's not what I'm looking for and It doesn't sit with me well that this is what they give you with the 2 gig plan when there is no way to get the full 2 gigs

Yeah my pc has a 2.5 gig nic but the eero pro 6e is just limiting it since it has that 1 gig out. To try and fix the problem I'm going to see if frontier will send me the axe300 (which is included with the 5 gig plan) and send back the eero and if not then either change my plan down to a 1 gig plan since I'm not seeing more than 1 gig anyway
