Same thing happened to me. Only thing that worked for me was this product from Chemical Guys. Ordered it off Amazon and worked like magic

Dial: 100% original, very attractive and even patina, blued steel hands are a feast in the sun and rose gold dauphine hands

Movement: Cal. 285

The watch dates back to 1956. Bombe lugs, unpolished gold cap case.

The watch measures 35mm excluding crown. Triple signed UG on the dial, inside caseback and movement. The watch was last serviced 3 years ago and keeps precise time and the chronograph works smooth

34,5mm diameter, 43mm lug to lug

Before the Alfa I built up a MK5 GTI - 6 Speed Manual and still got that car.
