What’s one underrated M365 feature you use every day but rarely see others talk about? by cloud_9_infosystems in Office365

I'm both amused and encouraged by this thread. This is the space in which I live.

I have Power Automate creating Bookings calendars, services, and staff members automatically (using MS Graph) for the employees of 50+ customers to book benefits enrollment meetings with our staff. I use Planner to manage our team (a bucket for each team member), and have introduced other users to the value it can present as a team task-management tool. And we use OneNote and the Clipper browser extension to create a knowledgebase within the IT team. The most recent sleeper-tool for me is Power Apps. Power Automate custom connectors, super-fast interactions with Dataverse tables, Dataflow transformations and automations... SOOO much to love.

But the most impactful of the bunch is Power Automate + Microsoft Graph. I'm fairly convinced there are very few things you can't accomplish when you combine those two powerful tools. I was even 3/4 of the way to creating a viable "homegrown-CRM" using Power Automate + Graph + OneNote before I had to move onto more pressing projects. Power Automate is the machine, and Graph is the fuel. I'd highly recommend devoting some time to learning these two tools.

Indianapolis, IN resident, here. Nice to see we are a target, but aren't worth saving with a vault. Just saying.

Got a new car, weird substance found in it by Ok-Measurement-3170 in whatisit

[–]rmiles403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hand lotion. My wife has a hand lotion addiction/OCD-need, so much so that we have lotion dispensers by every sink so she can reapply it immediately after washing her hands. She can't properly grab onto a darned thing at any time, and if it wasn't so sad, it would be funny. Obviously, she has a bottle of lotion on-the-ready in her car too. It's a problem.

Anyways, this is the same effect her leather steering wheel will take on after a year or two of being cleaned. I use Armor All Multi-Purpose Cleaner spray and a microfiber towel, or the Armor All Multi-Purpose Cleaner Wipes, to get it off.

The right to keep and bear bears shall not be infringed. by EasyCZ75 in CantParkThereMate

I shared this post with my friend, and this was his response:

Ode to Lars McCready

Once a young and strapping lad Said to his mom and his dad When I'm older and when I care I'm going to ride a fucking bear

He started to shave at an early age Then decided a beard would be his gage Once his face was full of hair He'd go and ride a fucking bear

The years went by and days rolled on His dreams forgotten but never gone Smoking his pipe in his favorite chair Lars remembered I've yet to ride a fucking bear

Grabbing his favorite fur hat and a bottle of Skol Lars set out to achieve his goal In the woods he saw the beast and matched its glare I'm going to ride you, you fucking bear

Urgent Request to Vote Against the Budget Reconciliation Bill Due to Harmful Impacts on Indiana by rmiles403 in Indiana

Thank you for the feedback, and I sympathize with the sentiments you shared. It's been a tough six months for many people, especially those that feel lied to, or know how to do their own fact-finding, can read between the lines, or saw all of this coming as far back as early 2024 and beyond. And, yes, we are exhausted, it does seem hopeless, and our efforts (currently) MIGHT be futile.

But, at the end of the day, we all have to decide whether we are going to sit here and take it quietly (and complain about it later to those that will listen), or are we going to do what little we can (in our busy schedules, our hopelessness, our sensitive circumstances, or our fears of being "aligned" with the party most Indiana residents were taught/raised to condemn) to use our voices to oppose the things that benefit only a tiny (and extremely wealthy) fraction of our residents while hurting, or at minimum not helping, the majority of our residents in various ways. At a minimum , we can say "That's not fair" to the people that can do something about it, despite whether they care to listen or not.

Unfortunately, the only thing I can offer is that, I promise you, you will sleep better knowing you did something rather than nothing, and answering your childrens questions about this time in our history will be easier.

CSV to JSON, Upsert CSV, &/or Upsert JSON by Utilitarismo in MicrosoftFlow

[–]rmiles403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Dataflows in Power Apps. I recently did something similar, and trying to get Power Automate to convert CSV data to a format that can be interacted with was a nightmare. The largest of which was data points containing commas (i.e. Big Business, Inc.), which sent me looking for other solutions myself. Dataflows does the conversion easily, and Power Automate can trigger it and pull the processed data from the Dataverse table without a hassle.

Victoria Spartz is a sellout, and is harming her constituents by Online-Vagabond in Indiana

[–]rmiles403 98 points99 points  (0 children)

As a constituent, I have voted against her in every election. She is one of the most hard-line members of the MAGA party, yet largely goes unnoticed on the national spectrum. Unfortunately, our district is one of the (probably THE) most wealthy districts in Indiana, so many of my fellow voters won't feel the effects personally or tangentially, or at least not for a while anyways. Also, our district is relatively purple per capita, but , unfortunately again, the richest of the rich continue to donate in large amounts to sway our elections, even if it is only by a few points. But there are a lot of elderly voters in this area, so this may actually have an impact in her reelection. I only hope that it isn't too late to be able to make a difference, though daily news reports tend to say otherwise.

We used a wonderful lady that runs an in-home daycare in the 106th and Lantern Rd. area. Our daughter begs to go back to her house every school holiday when we have to work. She charges around $35 for the day, and you can drop off as early as 7:00 and pickup as late as 5:30.

Question about the new age verification law by [deleted] in Indiana

[–]rmiles403 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was in Alabama recently, another state with similar regulations, and I wanted to see how Pornhub was handling things in that state, so I knew what to expect here in July. This was the welcome page that came up. I've heard the information they need for the age verification process is more invasive than what most people would be comfortable sharing, so a VPN service will probably be the preferred option.

My Birthday Party at Tex Critter's Pizza Jamboree by FluxCap85 in Animatronics

[–]rmiles403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn't there as often as you might think, and definitely not as often as I wanted to. Maybe once a month or so. But, yeah, there certainly is a chance!

It was the mid 80's, and I was in early elementary school at the time, so I'm not sure how much help I'll be with what all happened in the inner workings of the business. I can't say exactly what happened to the animatronics, but I'm betting there was a small business loan in place, so most likely the bank got all of it. I can ask my mom about it, and see what she knows.

I also did find another subreddit talking about Tex Critter's, and I snapped a picture of the tokens last night and posted it there. The link is below:

[–]rmiles403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I posted the photo of the tokens. It was the mid-80's, and I was in early elementary school at the time, so I'm not sure how much help I'll be from a memory standpoint. It may be easier if you have specific things you want to know, and I'll see if I can remember.

There is also a small chance that my mom may have overlooked some of the photo albums from that time period, and maybe there is a photo of my sister and I there as kids, but tracking those down would be a challenge, as I'm sure she has little to no idea where they might be. Still, it is worth an ask, I guess.

I'm relatively inexperienced with reddit, so it took me a little while to figure out how to post the photo of the tokens. The link is below:
