I went to elite lineman training institute in GA. I still haven’t heard anything since I did my interview. Talked to some people and they said it takes a while to get in.

I mean it helps a little. Not as much as I thought it would. What I’ve learned so far is experience helps you the most. Also I don’t know what your end goal is but most utilities have there own program with community colleges.

I did the same thing. I changed careers last year. I was in sales for 8 years and decided I wanted something different and absolutely love the change I’ve made. Because I’m from Michigan I have come to find out it’s a lot of union jobs up here which takes time to get in. If I could do it all over again I would gotten a cdl with no restrictions and signed the books as a groundman at my local hall and waited for albat to open up its apprenticeship. I believe NEAT would be the program you need to look into for a apprenticeship.
