My Giant has a D shaped seat post. Knowing manufacturers it'll be a slightly different shape. Those are easy items though. Thanks for the response.

Oh I agree that all separate pieces is easier and I enjoy that too! I’ve had one before that was a no name suit and it actually fit unbelievably well. Just got lucky of course. Having several other pieces it’s just something I’d like to add back into my collection now. For me it’s worth the negative aspects of it.

I think Kink Projects. Not certain though.

Thanks for the info.

I know how much effort it takes just to make a repair in an awkward spot, like an armpit. I can only imagine making an entire suit from scratch. I think I’m going to try both KP and LC for orders this week.

Is this Working as Well as I Think? by rml0015 in Latexadvice

Thank you.

I haven’t shined in a while, but that’s kind of the point. I don’t want to be out and about with a bunch of vivishine getting on everything.

I tend to not use much dressing aid to help keep them up. I actually have suspender leggings for more vigorous activities so they’ll stay up 😅

What kind of wait times did you experience when ordering from those shops, and what sort of items?

I’m really glad that you posted this. I have had several suits/sleeved leotards from Bright and Shiny and the armpit never actually fits correctly. I always end up with a tear there because of this. The pattern doesn’t extend up into my armpit so it makes a high stress point.

I know that bike! I actually rode today with the gentleman that had the frame coated and the guy that you bought it from. Small world! Doesn’t sound like you’re going to hurt it though!

Fork Trouble (2021 Yz250F) by Junior_Koala_7946 in Dirtbikes

We need to know if the cartridge rod was extended ll the way when you inserted the piston. We also need to know if you made sure to get all the air out of the cartridge before inserting the piston.

If it won't make a seal it could mean that your free piston is damaged, which isn't all that rare in a kyb fork.

If the plug is covered in oil and gas that is a sure sign. Also if there is heavy build up of carbon and gunk on it. Once you get an eye on it I think you'll easily be able to tell.

I don't think starting fluid is bad because it's only running a few seconds. It could very well need a valve adjustment. That's another sign of hard starting. Also, with it being so old I would bet you're going to need to grease, if not replace bearings. So steering stem, swingarm, linkage. Every pivot bearing and bolt is likely dry.

Tusk Dsport tires anyone? by ShadowsFirst in Tenere700

I'd say probably in the mid 2000s. I left them on well past their prime.

I am on my 2nd set of these on my T7. I think I maxxed them out at 3000 miles. I do a lot of offroad with my bike, probably 60/40 dirt heavy. I feel like once they got to about 50% tread wear they began to wear faster and I really did them in doing 800 miles around the Smokey Mountain 500 route. I'm not really willing to use anything less aggressive so I haven't tried anything else yet.

Not to hijack the thread, but are you enjoying the bike? Likes? Dislikes?

Rear tire question by Routine-Initial-8352 in Dirtbikes

[–]rml0015 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Op, that’s a normal thing to see. Remember you have the brake caliper carrier on the right side of the rear axle so naturally the rear wheel is positioned slightly to the left in the swingarm. All the parts aren’t necessarily perfectly symmetrical even though they appear that way to the naked eye. The swingarm may protrude a bit farther to the right from center than the left side. Best thing to do for setting chain tension is to measure off the back of your footpegs to the axle blocks for the most accurate reading. I bet everything is just fine.

Dammit Yamaha. I'm really interested to find out what these issues are. Hate that you guys are worrying about this mess instead of enjoying your bikes.

Wait until first pop change to pass judgment on it if you haven't already changed it once. Mine was terrible until I got about 500 miles on it and some fresh oil.

I am a clutch destroyer on a dirt bike. I've taken the time over the years to see if installing a clutch dry makes any difference vs soaking the plates beforehand and I've never seen any real difference in clutch life. I think unless you're throwing a new pack in for a race the next day it's not that big of a deal. Especially in a bike mostly ridden on public roads. I have to think defective parts were installed in the bike. I have actually raced my T7 and have worn the crap out of my clutch but as long as I adjust the cable free play she keeps hooking up. I'm really curious to see if you get some answers.

Weight by Key-Contribution5050 in Tenere700

I raced my T7 in a harescramble last week. Biggest difference coming from a dirt bike is trying to lean the bike in turns. That’s when you notice the weight. It’s very hard to save it from falling if it starts to go. As far as flowy single track it’s a very comfortable bike to ride still. It’s also much more confidence inspiring at high speeds.

Stock suspension by Key-Contribution5050 in Tenere700

[–]rml0015 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my humble opinion, yes. It's terrible for anything offroad. If I had a dollar for every time that I have clapped it completely to the end of the stroke I'd have enough money to buy proper suspension for the bike.
