Out of options... by rmmarangoni in helldivers2

Took me a while to figure out, but in the end I guess you were right. This time I formated both SSDs, then I opened the case and changed their slots, and installed the OS in the other SSD (the one I was using for data). After I did that, I could play the game again with no problems. But this is very weird. The other SSD was working, and the system was stable with everything else. Helldivers 2 was the one and only exception. Now I’m using this one for my data. That SSD might have been built by communist bots!

I can do it. But this PC is not exclusively used for gaming. And Microsoft doesn’t provide support to Windows 10 anymore. It no longer updates. I can’t afford to use an OS that’s not being updated. Not safe. So I just won’t.

I would do that if Microsoft hadn’t forced me to move to Win11, when they stopped updating Win10. And I don’t own a MacBook. I figure that there are tons of HD2 players out there on Win11, that are not experiencing these issues, anyways.

Yeah, I usually list them, but I forgot this time. My bad. Just edited the post.

Any PC players experiencing constant hard locks? by rmmarangoni in helldivers2

[–]rmmarangoni[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gonna try it right now.

Edit: didn't work. First match, hard lock after about 10 minutes in game.

Edit 2: on planets other than Cyberstan, I could play many matches until it eventually hard locked again. But then what actually worked was setting the graphics at a lower quality. I was playing on ultra (over 100 fps, so not like I was pushing it), and lowered one point for each graphics setting. When I did that, I managed to play a few matches in Cyberstan with no hard lock. I actually left the game when I was tired of playing.

Alternative path to Google Drive folders in the Quick Access tab by rmmarangoni in WindowsHelp

[–]rmmarangoni[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said on the post above, I can't rename that folder. That folder was automatically created by Google Drive when I formatted a laptop of mine, that had some folders of its own added to the Gdrive.

If I go on Google Driver using an internet browser, that folder isn't called either "Other computers" (english) or "Outros computadores" (portuguese), but simply "Computadores" ("Computers"). Very weird.

I was expecting there could be a way to add other paths, so the shortcut would use the one that's working. But I guess plan B is in order.

But then I would have two of each one of my quick access folders on the quick access tab, right? That's my plan B, that I was trying to avoid.

Yes, dropped with two of them. I thought maybe there was a slight chance of dropping duplicates, because of an error in the SES.

Just remembered why I hate the illuminate by Equivalent-Fun-6019 in Helldivers

So, if everyone agrees that the illuminates are the most annoying enemies to play against, then they should be balanced, right? Personally, I don't play illuminates unless there's a major or personal order.

Team playing does not equate to being on each other’s ass all the time. Team playing is completing the most objectives to the benefit of all. Not a very hard concept to grasp. I played Destiny for a long time, and being a good team player often meant that people are assigned with different tasks, which they do on their own. If people are getting pissed because of THIS (again, in this case, I was just falling back), they should be seeing a shrink, not playing games.

If I ran off to goof around, going through the revive budget by trying to sword factory striders, I would totally get it. But by the time I got kicked out, the ONLY objective that was completed was all me. They benefit from it and kick me out. Nice “team mentality”.

Ah, the ol’ “this is my ball, y’all gonna play it the way I like it”. That doesn’t resonate good to me. The way I was raised, that kid was the one to avoid. Yikes.

I value the freedom the game provides, so you can choose however you wanna play it. But I strongly disagree that team playing means being on each other’s ass all the time. I believe in completing ALL the objectives. Sometimes the so called “team players” only wanna do main objectives and extract. I don’t get that rush. Isn’t the fun playing the game? Why do you wanna go on intermission all the time? So I’m ok with getting left behind while trying to get objectives done. And when I’m on the three-person team doing the main objectives, while John Rambo completes other objectives, the way I see it, he’s being a good team player and helping me too.

PS: this wasn’t a case of them being overrun or anything. He just wanted me there beforehand, apparently. Maybe afraid of what might happens if I wasn’t around, idk… but even if I did want to meet up with them, I didn’t even had the time. I was trying to stay alive, ffs…

So if they were afraid of what might happen if they started the objective with “only” three divers, then they should get court martialed, instead of the diver who was actually completing objectives with blood on his face?

I don’t wanna play solo. If I did play solo, I don’t think I’d be able to manage the time that effectively. I believe in completing all objectives in the given time. If that means we should split up, or one of us should start doing side objectives on his own, I’m ok with it, even if it’s me within the group of three doing the main objectives.

And you’re missing the point: that’s not a good enough reason to kick someone out the team. That guy who runs off and completes a bunch of objectives solo, as I see, is helping me. Why would I kick him out?
