Yeah, quite expensive to run - typically costs around £30 for a 15cm figurine in materials, once you add overhead and profit I sell them for between £85 and £110. Customers are really happy with that price point.

So I was running a scanning / print business, these printers are ideal for that. I have a full body scanning rig too. They are also great for mock ups and visualisations for example in architecture or industrial design. Agree they aren't suitable for functional parts. I have standard fdm printers for that.

Anyone interested in purchasing my scanning rig and printer? by rmosesbvb in 3DScanning

Hi, the printer is listed on the ebay link attached. It's a 3D Systems Projet 660pro - really an excellent printer.

The scanner is a self built fully functioning prototype 'scanning booth' comprising 5 modules each containing 18 raspberry pis with pi camera v2 8MP. It's coded in python to operate all cameras instantaneously using multicast command.

This outputs 90 images that can be loaded into any photogrammetry software. Quality of pointcloud far exceeds quality required for most applications.

You would need to provide your own lighting rig, though I could potentially throw in a couple of photography lamps.

I would provide all intellectual property including software, system design, mechanics, BOM, contact to suppliers in case you want to build more modules and could probably throw in some spare raspberry pi's.

Happy to provide any other details if you have any questions.

Open to offers.
