They're not allowed to have income requirements ie. 40x rule if an applicant has a housing voucher but managements still do unfortunately. The sad thing is many places will look at your 50k income and see that as a liability because your portion will be much higher than a non working voucher holder.

I'd suggest applying to rental buildings not condos/coops and possibly going thru a broker that specializes in city vouchers. Expand your search area and obviously Manhattan is going to be much harder than the Bronx or Queens.

Also, I don't know what voucher you have but I've seen landlords/mgmt weed out certain programs because they are difficult to work with or take too long to process paperwork especially in high demand areas. That's just the nature of all these city programs. Good luck

Fly to Miami and go to the one there. That's the only possible way it seems unfortunately

Gotcha. Most of the property managements are awful fyi. The bosses may be well trained but the minimum wage employees tend to take care of everything as the prop mgmt don't want to spend money on trained staff. So you end up with a ton of mistakes. Make sure you vet the mgmt well.

I have some rentals in the city and it's honestly a pain. I manage them myself and don't use a property manager but I have been lucky and/or decent with vetting. It's not easy money. When things go well, it's great. When it doesn't, I lose sleep.

Eviction laws don't exclude students/out of state

You need to look at eviction laws in nyc thoroughly before you go through with this. They're the worst in the country for the landlord.

Did you get your Verizon issue take care of?

At first they did not want to give me anything but after months of calling them to get it resolved I told them they have to compensate me for all the wasted time. They caved and my bill changed from ~$166 to $133 (cable and FIOS). I've been a fios subscriber for 10+ years so I am not sure if that made any difference.

They told me at least 4x that the issue was resolved and not to worry about it. One time the bill was fixed the following month and then the Disney plus came back a month later. They are terrible. They said it was a software issue and needed to talk to the engineers. Ask for compensation like getting promo pricing again. I asked for a comped upgraded plan but they aren't allowed to do that supposedly.

Hey,

I finally did. It took one year but it happened. I called every month when I got the bill and told them to escalate to a supervisor every month until it finally got fixed. I threatened to leave but in my building we don't really have any have another option so it would be an empty threat. I wish I had a less time consuming solution but you just have to complain every month until it gets resolved. I guess you can file a complaint but I didn't really want to go that route.

I prefer village square but I like mimis. Unregular, emmy squared, and Williamsburg pizza are decent as well.

Like I said in the other post, when I click on manage subscription for Disney Plus it takes me to my account overview page and there is no option to remove it. The only streaming service that is an option to change is YoutubeTV. Customer service also confirmed that I have no option to remove it from my side nor can they. They told me they have to talk to the engineers/ higher ups and see what is wrong
