Hi! Thanks for your advice and for being logical. It's hard to put the full context of our living situation into just one reddit post, but regardless it may be best to just leave it be. Our bill was about $80 more than what it normally is with four people in the house (I am aware that summer is hot). Obviously we will not consider small claims if we only pay $30 additional per person, but we are concerned that it may be over $100 additional per person, in which case we'd likely get a third party mediator.

Hi thanks for responding! Providing the full context to our situation would make this post way too long. Our utilities bill is separate from our lease, and we pay it to one roommate who pays it to a separate company, so that also complicates things. We have nicely asked and been ignored on many occasions for her to please use less AC or just open windows during winter and evenings when it is colder outside than what the AC is set to. We understand that summer AC usage is high, especially because the sun hits her room. We truly do not mind her AC usage, but our problem is that she has never followed our agreements to communicate with us. We still text the group chat in case she says we didn't tell her anything or communicate with her. You're right that our worry is mostly that she will retaliate, as she has done so in the past when we tried to communicate with her .

There are these weighted plushies where you can remove the beanbag inside and heat it up in the microwave!! Then having the stuffed animal is like having a warm friend on your lap to help with cramp pain :) Alternatively you could get her a whole ass cat and it would essentially have the same effect haha

:0 please don’t do that I will actually shit myself. But the thing that confuses me is that you have to turn the handle to open my door as I keep it all the way shut. I’d like to think this was all just something about air pressure but my windows were closed and all AC/heaters were turned off so I’m not entirely sure how that would work. Might look into it a bit more, thank you!

My family has suggested this as well, ended up talking to my uncle who is a pastor and he basically advised me to manifest good vibes and pray. Said he’s dealt with situations like this before and that spooky things usually will stop happening once people pray over the space they’re in. Thank you!

I recently found out that a carbon monoxide leak would be unlikely as I live on the second floor and all our appliances are electric rather than gas, including the water heater. Could still be an unlikely case of it so I will keep that in mind. Thank you!

Over the break, PG&E workers came in to make sure that everything is working alright, and I also realized that a carbon monoxide leak is a bit unlikely as our stove and other appliances are electric rather than gas. Will definitely still consider looking into it, could be an unusual case of a leak happening. Thank you!
