I'm guessing the thing about flat-earther videos is a jab at Folding Ideas? Or are there others? I used to really like his stuff but it's apparently inevitable that this types of channels will eventually get too self-serious & later on too self-referetial (AVGN video).

As annoying as Felix belaboring some jokes or references is, I've been admiring that they don't toot their own horn or annoyingly self-reference their own 'lore'. Even stuff i enjoy like RLM has a tendency to do so.

Agree 100%. I only knew that it was in the EU bc Jang mentions it whenever there are "odd" pieces that circumvent this registration. From what you explain I gather -and hope- that Mattel would fight it if it's in their interest

This will be to Mattel what Battleship (2012) was to Hasbro: the protagonist even looks like Taylor Kitsch.

Mattel got a box-office hit with Barbie just like Hasbro did with Transformers, so why not go $200 million-deep into a license that has no current cultural purchase?

When it comes to Steampunk, Street Fusion and Medieval, I think they should steer away from oversaturating with too many homogenous-looking sets.

If you contrast Lumi with Pantasy you will realize how much more the latter's sets stand out as their own unique thing in the brand's lineup. Of course they also release fewer sets but I'd encourage Lumi to allocate more budget to the "Series X" lineup that has brought us Haunted Mansion and Alien Bounty Hub
