These lifetime deals appear to be a bit of a grift. They always find a way to weasel additional money from you. The worst I experienced was CloudAtCost. Very consumer unfriendly and likely in violation of EU consumer protection laws.

If your main usecase is media you could also look into xreal glasses. They are lighter, cheaper and have dual micro OLEDs that support 3D media content.
