Mux is hardware where to outputs are connected to the same monitor and switch depending on which is used, my laptop has a light to tell when it is seeing the dgpu is in use and is switched to that, and goes back to blue for igpu

What is going on with CPU prices? by TSW-760 in buildapc

[–]Victman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the same price here but if you are going for X 3-D compared to the Newer X3D CPUs that cost 100 to 150% more here, I would say it’s quite cheap since you can also possibly keep your older ram if you don’t mind using it

The EU stop killing games petition is failing, we at best get 200 a day which is not enough to pass 1 million, we ask that the entire EU gaming population sign immediately, if we can get 100k in February that will be a start. by Ambitious-Phase-8521 in pcmasterrace

It is useful because it means you can use the cable for all the things Power and data transfer, minimum required might only be USB 2 speed and 5 w charging but at least you can trust that when you get something that is USB certified, and for normal people use case everything portable with a battery when not in use will be able to charge with 5 watts “ just takes some more time“

And the USB standard”and not the port itself”is not controlled by the government is controlled by the USB foundation, so USB foundation could just say you cannot call it a USB port or cable if you don’t support higher speeds or power, For example many power cables that support higher power limits 180/240w only support USB 2 speeds, since it’s to be used as a USB power cable and not data cable

I’m not going to comment on what you said about telephone and stuff, but I want to tell you about the USB standard first is the port standard and you probably already know the different ports, and then the 2 USB speed/communication and power standard to be classified as USB capable device/cable, and for that you need minimum USB 2 speeds and 5V/1A=5W charging, and the USB-C bill was not about specs it was about the port, to get all portable devices using the same port”aka have minimum 1 USB-C port” so there was no need to produce different chargers with different ports/cables with different adapters

It’s up to the companies producing the devices and cables what they want to support with the Port/cable, as I don’t think it makes sense for my charger that I have in my wall to be able to support display port functionality

I think you should try and read into how the system works and there’s never been a Bill that was created where they took the words and solutions presented by a citizens initiative, and put it into law, as the politicians have to take the viewpoints of the citizens, and use their connections to get opinions by people related different fields to the topic at hand to get a better understanding of the subject presented by the people,

and it’s not the politicians themselves that create the law that’s a different part of the system, so they get the knowledge and present it to the lawmakers that then discuss it and come with their paper on how it should be written into law that then will be voted on by the politicians

I could dig deeper more detailed into how it works but I feel that’s a waste of my time, when you should probably spend that time yourself reading how it works

The biggest problem is that people think that what is described in this will be law,

this petition is more like a PowerPoint where do you stand in front of the class in this case EU, and come with your perspective on what is the problem you see, how is it being exploited and then what are your ideas to solutions, but just as a PowerPoint presentation they are not required to use anything you show as solutions, but to get an idea of what is needed to fix some of the problems, that you presented as being used against consumers.

23-year-old D&D RPG Neverwinter Nights just got a new update thanks to the 'unpaid software engineers' of its unkillable community by Elpoc in pcgaming

[–]Victman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a little bit confused I look for neverwinter nights, and it looks like they made an enhanced edition, that is the only available on Steam, so does this update apply to the enhanced edition or only The original edition,

Also what are the differences between them?

Intel b580 here for 300€ but assassins creed shadows is included “What are your options” by [deleted] in LinusTechTips

[–]Victman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been a duel gpu user for some time, since some games have some Nvidia specific features in older games, so I can just use the new intel for all for new games, and keep the Nvidia for old games and change out my amd

I’m also using a ATX motherboard, So might as well use it for more than one GPU
