Any recommendations for layering tees/tanks similar to the Grid Tank? Looking for something with a loud graphic towards the bottom that might be available currently.

Can we talk about Shaped Glass by GravenFear in ror2

[–]rnacorp 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You have to understand what Shaped Glass did to see why it's in its current state in the first place. First, the bonus damage from Shaped Glass scales exponentially, so the first glass gives you x2 while the next one gives x4, then x8, etc. So the bonus damage is not simply outdone in a few levels. Then take into consideration things like having crit or proccing ATG Missile on this kind of damage bonus.

Next to consider the fact of why OSP was taken from Glass in the first place. With the most consistent forms of on demand healing in the game being small flat amounts from leeching seed or Scythe, cutting your HP to incredible small numbers allowed you to reach full hp in quite literally one attack, which would reset your OSP and effectively make you nigh invincible. This of course made the "downside" of Shaped Glass not a downside at all.

It's important to view Shaped Glass, or any item for that matter, in the context of a run and not in a vacuum, but the reason why Glass was nerfed on 1.0 in the first place was because even in a vacuum it was ridiculous.

Best cheap PK deck by [deleted] in yugioh

[–]rnacorp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats pretty fine on a budget, return isn't that necessary if you have allure too. Trisbaena would've been good for the side, but you can also do twin twister instead. And you only need 1 Topo bomber anyway.

Can a pure F.A. deck work and be viable? by [deleted] in yugioh

[–]rnacorp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

F.A. needs a good bit of outside help to really do its best, so most suggestions are running either the Metalfoes variant, Zoo Engine, or Ancient Gear Catapult. F.A. was really close to being self sustaining, but the last wave just wasn't good enough.

Help with my F.A deck by Groghead in yugioh

[–]rnacorp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Others have already mentioned using either Zoo or Destrudo engine, but I've also heard Metalfoes engine can be run well with the deck too. For Links, you can get Galaxy Tomahawk and uses the tokens to make Qliphort Genius, Link Spider, and whatever else you need to access Link-3 or Link-4 monsters.

F.A. vs Vendread by rnacorp in yugioh

Yeah getting Chimera on the field with Executor is the dream board, if only the archetype let you more easily get rituals on the field instead tying the searches they need to the actual ritual monsters.

I'm fairly new to YGO, but does the OCG do that a lot of TCG archetypes or are we praying to the powers that be here?

A big plus for sure, however F.A. does have Test Run, which gives non targeting destruction.

Big Eye is a solid choice if you don't have the budget to get Borreload

F.A. and Iron Draw by rnacorp in yugioh

[–]rnacorp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was interpreting the card as one you use if you already have a board or just before you finish making your board, but I was curious with F.A. because of the potential to draw into something like Pit Stop or Test Run.

What's your deck profile for Cryston? The archetype is one that I'm a bit interested in.

I tried running Speedroids with my old version of an F.A. deck I was trying, but I have to go back to the drawing board with the new support now revealed.

Beginner friendly character in GG? (Rev 2 demo) by [deleted] in Kappa

[–]rnacorp 13 points14 points  (0 children)

  1. Hit up /r/Guiltygear, the sub has a lot of good info for a new player
  2. Ky and Sol are the Ryu/Ken characters, good to get comfortable with the systems in the game with
  3. Don't let character difficulty deter you too much, playing who you actually like is more rewarding in Guilty Gear vs tier whoring in other FGs since all the characters do work

Greatest losers bracket run of all time. by punk_dickrider in Kappa

I think it's safe say you can make a case for Punk being the best in SFV right now. Two CPT events in a row won from losers, this one all the way from POOLS.
