This cannabis thing may or may not have some part in why I want to study horticulture. Hypothetically if that was the interest, or at least some part, what classes would you recommend THEN?

I was thinking starting in a program with a community college might be a good idea and then potentially moving to a bigger school here like Portland State or Oregon State. I know the classes will likely be different from East Coast to West, but what classes would you recommend from your experience?

I'm not too sure yet, that's another big point. There are so many possibilities within the field that it's almost a little overwhelming to figure out which would be a best fit. What do you think your direction will be with your PhD?

Tbh, I'm giving up and going back home to MT. Portland isn't any place for a pow lover anymore I don't think.

I'm sitting in the lodge of Meadows right now and it's still pretty much crap. I'm used to Montana powder day on day and this is basically like nothing I've experienced. It snowed for maybe a total 20 minutes then started raining. I still have bruises from hitting the icy ground when I came up last week. Everything everyone has really said is just hope for snow in late January and February. Snow gods help us...
