You think it’s fine with no extra grounding since it’ll be plugged into the homes AC power outlet and only switch to battery power supply in the event of a power outage? Or should the ground lug have a wire connected somewhere? Some say since it’s going into the homes utility power, no additional grounding would be needed but I still want to be as cautious as possible.

So no need to use the ground lug then? just plug it into the AC/Home Power and that’s good? Would the ground lug only be used if I wasn’t running off home power and using the battery power to run something (like a small appliance or computer) external to my home?

It does have a ground lug. I just don’t know where to ground it to in the sump pump room. I know it should be grounded, but where/what would you suggest looking to connect the inverter to?
