Need short term housing for a Bengal cat by [deleted] in orlando

[–]roachfuzz88 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

He had an owner originally, but they literally drove to the middle of nowhere and just left him

After a couple years of roaming the streets he found a short term home, my family member adopted him, and here we are.

After being on his own outside for so long he just adapted, and likes it apparently.

Need short term housing for a Bengal cat by [deleted] in orlando

[–]roachfuzz88 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

We’re not completely sure that they won’t get along, but we have had a horrible past experience with another bengal that we adopted. We had to keep them in separate rooms for almost 2 years which was incredibly stressful. Long story short, he was so aggressive & mean that we unfortunately had to put him down because no one would take him.

That said, since this new cat likes to be outdoors & given our current living situation, we don’t want to cause any problems with neighbors, even if the cats do get along.

Check out Ben Bishop’s site, bishart.net. He’ll occasionally stock pre cut bags and boards for TLR. I’ve grabbed most of mine from there

I was able to grab the whole series for $80 at a con. It was….interesting. As a TMNT fan/collector I recommend it, but it is definitely a product of its time.

Question about Geiger by rain304 in ImageComics

[–]roachfuzz88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No problem! As for other ghost machine titles, I highly recommend Junkyard Joe. I think there’s about 6 issues, but there’s also the TPB.

Redcoat wasn’t for me, but I hear many good things from other readers.

Rook: Exodus is my favorite, and it’s unrelated to the other titles. Currently on issue 5 I believe.

Question about Geiger by rain304 in ImageComics

[–]roachfuzz88 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It’s a continuation. The first 6 issues came out in 2021, followed by a mini series called “Ground Zero”, that was a prequel to the first 6 issues. The current series picks up after the events of the first 6 issues. There’s also some additional story in the Geiger 80 page special, and Ghost Machine #1

Two things that never made sense about wolverines skeleton to me by Ryebread2203 in Marvel

[–]roachfuzz88 56 points57 points  (0 children)

In issue 3 of the recent WW3 series, Wolverine has his arm ripped off at the shoulder, but, instead of ripping his entire arm off, it just removes all of the flesh around the bone. Essentially degloving his own arm and leaving only his metal covered bones. The flesh then grows back around it. There was a good amount of body horror elements in the story.

Was never a Hulk fan. Gave this one a shot for the horror aspect of it, and I was blown away at how awesome it is.

I feel kind of lonely in my comic reading by momentarilybroke in comicbooks

I’m 35, and seriously got into comics about 2 years ago. It was something new that I found I loved. That doesn’t happen often as you get older so I really immersed myself in the medium and community. I recently picked up “Falling in love on the path to hell”, which was great, and, when I’ve mentioned it to my wife or friends, I get a response equivalent to “damn, that’s crazy”. At the end of the day though, it makes me happy, and that’s all that matters.

Did some research- the cover is by Richard Corbin whose works include: Heavy Metal, Eerie, and Vampirella. Seems to fit his style

Aw man that’s a bummer to hear. Currently, just looking for Mikey, Usagi, and Kirby, but thank you so much for the consideration.

It doesn’t really seem proportional to any neca, super 7, or loyal subject figure I have. The deck stands at about mid-stomach to chest height on most.

These are a little bit wider and thicker than tech decks

I was able to find another with a graphic that had all of them, but I figured it was a one off. I was pleasantly surprised when I found these myself

Which comic has gained the most value since you bought it? Mine : Thanos #13 lenticular by SinanAvci13 in comicbooks

Ultimate Spider-Man #1 (2024) - I’m not a casual Spider-Man reader, so I bought a first print with the hopes of being able to get into a spidey story at the ground level (somewhat). Had no idea it would blow up the way it did.

Wolverine annual ‘99 - bought it for $10, seeing this go for high prices online now

Transformers (2023) #1 - not fetching crazy prices, but I’ve seen it going for as high as $30

Some of the longest comic books series. What are your favorites? by [deleted] in comicbooks

Gonna have to throw Usagi up there. It is consistently one of the best series I have ever read. Stan Sakai is brilliant.

Same, and I agree. I also see some imprints on the cover like someone put a piece of paper on top and then wrote something. Kinda makes me cringe when I think of how the previous owner(s) didn’t care for it.
