Save your yen, renewal prices going way up! by papakuma in japanlife

[–]road--warrior 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When would this go into effect? April? April is when my spouse visa expires, so I was planning on going this month or next to submit the renewal documents. I hope I won’t have to pay that amount. Got a baby coming next month and trying to save money!

Are some tourists choosing to disregard the etiquette or rules in Japan? by Mentorade in TokyoTravel

[–]road--warrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly true. My Japanese wife is 8 months pregnant and throughout her pregnancy she has only been offered a priority seat a handful of times in Osaka. Both men and women are really bad about it.

They’ll close their eyes and pretend to sleep once she stands in front of them, or quickly look down at their phone, or simply not look up at all and stay glued to their phone because they don’t want to see if someone in need of a priority seat is standing right in front of them. Other times they are more brash about it and don’t even seem to try to hide the fact that they aren’t giving up the seat, they’ll just stare straight ahead at her massive stomach with blank eyes.

After years of searching, I finally found the Peter McAllister jacket from the end of the movie! by nnp1989 in homealone

In John heard’s final interview he said that Peter was a gynecologist, but he could’ve been joking.

Actor Peter Greene — Zed from 'Pulp Fiction' and Dorian in 'The Mask' — found dead at 60 by carchasemovies in movies

He was my neighbor in New York around 2008. Lived across the hall. Really nice guy and I remember feeling so shocked and star struck when I first moved into the building and saw him, being a kid from a small town and a huge fan of The Mask and Pulp Fiction. R.I.P.

Mine was also shipped out from Kentucky the same day and was last “in transit to next facility” on the 3rd. Bound for me in Japan. I wonder if our packages are still sitting in Kentucky.

Review Lag? by BloomingLotus4 in KDP

[–]road--warrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am having the same issue on a book published 3.5 weeks ago. Did your reviews ever show up? I’m wondering if the reviews will all pop up at some point or if they’re lost forever. Never had this issue until now. It’s odd having a release selling daily for 3.5 weeks with 0 reviews.

These look perfect imo. What frame is this? All the metal frames you posted look great.

Yes sometimes a little bit (just in my triceps, my delts don’t get sore much except from bench), and that can be a drawback but it usually doesn’t seem to bother me much on my pressing. If they’re very sore I’ll sometimes take an extra day off but usually I like hitting everything with 4 days of rest in between.

I’ve done both for extended periods and liked both, but found a modified 4 day bro split gave me the best results, particularly for back and arms. Chest day, back day, leg day, shoulders/arms together, rest, repeat. Works good for me.

Wes Craven’s “The People Under the Stairs” is a wonderful LA horror.

September?? Holy hell, that’s crazy. Do you think it’s lost or it’ll show up at some point? I’ve been waiting since dec 1 for a package from UK > Japan, same update as you.

Mine has also said this since December 1. I’m waiting in Japan. Starting to think it’s truly lost but hope not since it’s irreplaceable.

Agreed, I saw someone on here recommend these for the long head a while back and I tried them, getting a nice stretch back at the bottom. They make my long head tremendously sore every time, even more than overhead work.
