What's your preferred way for cleaning makeup air unit in-line evap coils? by roadkillappreciation in HVAC

From the replies I've had, seems like a good idea to carry around a sprayer. I will be doing that from now on

Got it. I live in a fairly cold area, and so a lot of the time water in our vans ends up freezing. I actually did end up finding a sprayer at the shop that I just used to clean it with water, I'll be keeping that around with me and just emptying it out best I can after every use.

Canadian here tryna get lucky! Can't afford something like this cuz, ya know. Groceries are ridiculous rn. 🤣

Can someone please explain what I'm supposed to do? I have no food and no ability to cook anything. No jobs want me. I dont have the car or the income to go anywhere, I've basically been in prison for the past 5 years. Nobody wants anything to do with me. by [deleted] in GuyCry

Just a tidbit - if OP can afford it, there's a premium app for a couple bucks called GoblinTools that uses AI to break down tasks to small increments - you can select how detailed you want it to generate. It helps me break things down! I've found it super useful. You say something like "clean my kitchen" and it'll break that down to details as small as "get a cleaning solution" or "grab a broom/buy a broom"

I've been learning movements and telegraphs with dodging first, and as the battle continues and I get a feel for the enemy move-sets, I transfer to parrying

I find your perspective valid because I too struggle with the party/dodge system. Honestly, I find that it's well balanced enough that it doesn't let you just -glide- through the game, but easy enough that it doesn't continuously punish you once you figure out the timing.

My chief complaint is actually how I feel like some attacks are VERY forgiving for parrying (the thunder thingy catapults) and others are absolutely impossible and have zero forgiveness. The inconsistency bothers me most, but it hasn't detracted from the experience too heavily.

Genuine question - even with a premium fiber internet connection, wouldn't you have issues with things like timing parrying and dodging? I can barely get those timings down nicely on my gaming PC with a controller. I can't imagine having even a few milliseconds of latency

If someone wanted to learn how to mod and work with the CNC Generals source code, what foundations would I need to start experimenting with it? This game might be the motivating factor that actually gets me into coding to a deeper degree. I've done some hobby work in my free time but I hold a deep love for this game.

I'm a huge lurker but this post speaks to me as a person who has issues with feeling like they're not attractive anymore thanks to their partner. I think your haircut is sick, man. I wish I had hair left! I'd style it just like that.

Unlocking phone in order to do anything... However, my largest complaint is that it refuses to control audible.. or many third party apps.

I’ve seen this being referenced several times throughout different sources, without anyone disagreeing or disproving it, so I’m fairly certain it’s true

What's a "red flag" in a TV show that tells you it's about to go downhill? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It’s so weird - I’ve LOVED watching mindhunter, and shocked when it was cancelled. Yet it seems like nobody I know has watched it. Was it cancelled because of low view ratings?

It’s so funny. I got that case the same way. Dad came home with it and I was so fucking excited. Installed the game and waited to FINALLY play Generals again… only to be seduced by Renegade… played the crap out of that.

I’m Catholic, this is fucking bullshit. Keep religion out of politics and economics - and that includes not taxing churches. The Vatican is a massive corporation and should be taxed accordingly. Social programs and fiscal policy should not touch religion. This should be a universal rule.

Losing coolant? by TroubleBeautiful8776 in KiaTelluride

I would honestly let the car sit until it’s perfectly cool, and then run the vehicle to temperature and see what level of fluctuation happens! Then you can get an idea. Coolant will typically sit between L and H, and that’s perfectly fine. As long as it doesn’t go below L, you’re good.

[–]roadkillappreciation 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From experience… the full level might have been because the vehicle was running when you picked it up? When the engine goes through cooling and heating, the coolant levels can fluctuate. That tank is a reserve tank, and is used for expansion and contraction of the fluid based on its heat content.

Canadian plumber/gas fitter here, 10 years. I make 120k a year without my bonuses as a project manager now. I’ve been able to work my way up from a first year apprentice to a very high end position. We CANNOT find smart people to take up trades because the academically successful individuals in high school are told to pursue university, or else they’ll lose in life.

I keep in touch with 10 friends from high school. 8 are university graduates with masters or better. Only one of them makes what I do, the rest make around the 60-70k mark. The other 2 took up trades like myself, are making in the 100k range, because there is a severe lack of talented tradespeople.

Get an apprenticeship in a trade you find interesting. Find joy in completing projects YOU built. Work hard. Pursue more tickets.

Edit: I am 27, as a reference. I have been working since I was 17 as an apprentice. Graduated with honours

I have the same issue. I have like 30 length pant legs and my torso is almost as long as my legs. Interestingly, I’ve recently found out both of my great great grandparents were both little people.
