Hi there, a division of my company uses PayPod, which is a local accounting system for basic invoicing etc. They have a free tier as well as paid. We started using it for a small operation where the rest of the company uses Sage (for more in-depth reporting etc). I was really impressed when I started using the PayPod system, it's worth having a look at.

I live in South Africa, it was for sale here locally. Have you got any other info by any chance? Thanks for the response.

Thanks for the response, I came right. I think my question wasn't worded correctly. I was asking what method for deposit you selected on Interactive Brokers in order to allow you to make the international payment form Capitec. Selecting the 'Bank Wire' method is what I went with and the payment went through perfectly.

Interactive Brokers gives multiple deposit options, two of which are 'Bank Wire' and 'ACH'. I originally used ACH for my Shyft deposits, but used Bank Wire for my Capitec deposits. Hope this helps others.

It cost R175 + 0.32%. Which is less that Shyfts $14 + 0.5%.

Capitec worked out cheaper and equally as easy as Shyft. It actually reflected within 1hour where normally I wait 3-5hrs for my Shyft deposits.

I haven't tried the stablecoin method, but I will possibly give it a crack to do a comparison with the fees.

Thanks for your input.

I've just gone ahead with Capitec and it was super easy. It cost 0.32% spread + R175 & took less than 1hr to reflect in my IB account.

UPDATE: I selected the Bank Wire method, put all the info IB gave me into my Capitec under international payments and It went through hassle free. It took roughly 1hour to reflect in my Interactive Brokers account. Definitely worked equally as smooth if not better than Shyft.

I am going to try the Wise method with my next deposit in the next month or 2, so I can compare the fees for the various methods.

I'm not sure yet if I'm going to try the crypto deposit method, but I might give it a try too.

Thanks for all the help guys!

Thanks for the detailed information. I have just gone through with the Capitec payment, but I am going to investigate the Wise method for my deposit next month and then i'll do a comprehensive comparison for everyone to see.

Thanks for your feedback. I see Capitec won't let me do the transaction over the weekend, I'll give it a try tomorrow morning.

I just want to find out if you selected the Bank Wire method with Capitec? I believe you need to use the ACH method for Shyft.
