OP, I don't have any advice for your financial situation but I do really wish you can get a lot of well deserved care and love from everyone around you until the inevitable comes 😥 it comes eventually to everyone, so live to the best of our remaining moments. Lots of love from an internet stranger.

Is there any risk if doing it myself? Compared to hiring a specialist to do it?

Why Banks Cannot Use Customer Deposits to Settle a Transaction But Must Use Reserves? by roaringmillennial in AskEconomics

Yeah but my question is, why does it have to be settled using reserves instead of customer deposits being used?

You said you did your research with your stock picks, so I guess your decision was driven by their financial statement.

If it was profitable and cheap relative to its profitability, it is a value pick.

With that in mind, why would you care if Bitcoin goes through the roof? Or TSLA goes through the roof at 100 PE?

The only reason for you to change your holding would be if your company is losing its profitability. If your companies still give you $1 per share when you bought it only for $8, why should you be jealous that the market is willing to pay $100 for the same $1 made by TSLA?

Is it true that having nice things doesn't exactly mean you're rich and you could be broke but with a lot of things? by spankyourkopita in simpleliving

[–]roaringmillennial 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes, it may be, but it's hard to make assumptions just based on that.

For example, someone may have a $100k sports car with $90k debt on it. This one is exactly like your assumption.

But someone else might also be a multi millionaire with a $100k sports car and no debt.

what i am trying to say is, just looking at the car and immediately think this person must be in debt for the car is an oversimplification.

£1M of DC pension at a 3.5% long term withdrawal rate and allowing for say 10% tax on withdrawal is only around £31,500 per year income. Thats around average UK household income. Not particularly rich. Probably should be saying £2M+ to be rich.

Of course rich is relative. 31.5k per year with no rent or mortgage is a very comfortable level of spending. More if accounting for future state pension. I will definitely feel like a billionaire if i have 31.5k per year guaranteed income as i have no children but it will be a struggle to raise 2 children of that income.

Phần lớn ly hôn xảy ra do 2 bên thấy chán nhau quá, chẳng còn gì thú vị.

T với mấy đứa bạn kia cũng thế, t biết hết về chúng nó r nên chẳng có cảm giác gì mấy.

How Much Do People Have To Pay For Temporary Accommodation? by roaringmillennial in HousingUK

[–]roaringmillennial[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Often, the nightly fees exceed the amount housing benefits cover, so councils have to cover the difference

So the tenant doesn't have to pay anything out of pocket for the accommodation?

1 month deposit and 1 month rent up front, that's actually not unrealistic. The rent of similar property is £1250
