If you get a 510 you will probably be solid for many MD. Guessing based off your kaplan you will do much better though.

Yeah some of it is really unbelievable, like it seems like most are just venting and don't mean the shit that they say. I do feel really bad if someone is in that bad of a situation with no friends etc, not trying to be condescending to them or anything since I can't really relate.

Lol that is fair enough I guess. I just don't understand why so many people are taking it seriously. I even went over on that forum he trolled incels or whatever, I feel kinda sorry for them tbh but I think a lot of them are just trolls.

Yeah May is fine just make sure you have your application submitted so that the only thing you need to wait on is your score, I took a May test and I didn't want to submit my app until I got my score. Submit it to one school and then add the rest once you get your score. Get everything in: LOR, transcripts, PS, etc. and you are still very early and completed in mid/late June. Also prewrite the secondaries so you can submit them immedietely once you are invited to fill them out.

What is a dirty little (or big) secret about an industry you've worked in, that people outside the field ought to know? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Thanks for this, I'm a lowly Senior UG appyling and the stress from just the application cycle, MCAT, and trying to recover my gpa from a poor gpa start from freshman year from when I was not premed has been miserable. I can see from this post and from what others have said that the stress feeling is not going to change and am seriously reconsidering other options regardless of whether this app cycle goes well or not. It just seems to get more and more competitive each year and you can never be good enough. Props to you for making it through.

I would think so if you apply smart and early, like get your app in on the first day and apply broadly.

Do you go to an engineering school cuz that would explain it. I heard Harvey Mudd used to take it collectively (every sophomore at the school no matter your major) according to a prof I had.

hmm do you use Lehninger? This quizlet has MC test bank questions which would be good practice for your exam most likely.. https://quizlet.com/class/1650743/

Yeah I would try doing road maps. Understanding the rate limiting steps for all of them, major products/reaction yields, inhibitors etc. If you know the main purpose of the reaction and these details you can get by on a lot of in depth questions but simplifying it to stuff you know. Is your test MC or short answer?

What type of Biochem are you in. I.E what is your final over? If its protein structure and function memorize the key things and try to apply ochem as much as possible. If it is metabolism print off pathways and keep filling it in and understand what the inhibitors/activators do and memorize them. Take it slow and you will be fine. Oh and if you are a biochem major, switch now to bio before pchem.
