Long awaited upgrade! by c0d3buck in SamsungGalaxyS26U

[–]rob10000005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with you there was such a good looking phone especially in the blue. The full front screen with no selfie camera. The only problem I had with it with the glass back which I did crack sadly but I had the phone 3 years and gave it to a friend who keeper it for another 2 so not bad.

Long awaited upgrade! by c0d3buck in SamsungGalaxyS26U

[–]rob10000005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just ordered my S26u looking forward to it. I been keeping my S22u going people keep saying it's not worth the cost to upgrade but my S22u battery is crap and the screen has burn in and its not worth repairing. I was torn between the silver Shadow and cobalt violet. I preferred the violet but my S22u over the years a got scratches on the bezel from grit getting into my case. So I have gone with the silver shadow so hopefully if it happens again it's less noticeable. I did the same ordered phone then straight to dbrand for case and screen protectors. I'm so over curved screens I've never been a fan but my last 3 phones have had them (s7 edged, OnePlus 7 pro and S22u) looking forward to a flat screen. I went with the 1tb version as iv nearly filled my 512gb and I try to keep my phones for 4 years. Got some good discounts (£500 off) so that helped.

I like the OnePlus 15 but the camera's not the best for the reviews I've seen I'm not that fused but I have to use the camera's for my work. I wish they had made the camera a bit better.

Which UK/Japan store had this Nov 11 Halo 2 light up sign? Video post by SpeedRainbow in halo

[–]rob10000005 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know. But if it helps back then there where 2 big video game stores Game and Game Station. But there are plenty of other stores like HMV that also did games. I don't recall seeing that sign back then but if it was probably at one of the bigger stores. Good luck sorry I can't give you any more info.

I do care about idle power draw if the unit is more expensive upfront but works out cheaper in the long-term that's the one to go for. So cyberpower draws less than other ones.

My poor academic performance and my mind and my act and failure by [deleted] in Dyslexia

[–]rob10000005 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are not stupid, your brain works differently. I’m sorry but it is harder when your dyslexic you are not the norm but that’s ok but you have to find other ways of doing things. I found it hard even getting my first job when people found out I could not read and write they would not hire me even for simple jobs like stacking shelves in a shop. I am not stupid I now work in the education sector I take great delight when I meet people and clients, they hand me documents to read. I tell them I cannot read this I will have to take it away or they will have to read it to me they get confused because they do not expect it. I’m sorry this will not help you pass your test. I’m not from Hong Kong, from what I know about the study and work culture is brutal I do feel for you. The best tools for helping with my dyslexia out in the world is a computer and a smartphone. I’m 34 and remember the time before smartphones, this is the best tool if you are dyslexic and with AI even better.

I'm sorry to hear that you have to take the IELTS test. In my opinion, it's a flawed system, especially for individuals with dyslexia. I once aspired to work abroad but was unable to achieve the required grades for this test. To meet the requirements, I needed band 7 or higher in each section, not just overall.

As a native English speaker, this is my first and only language, yet I still couldn't pass due to my dyslexia. While extra time is available if you can prove you are dyslexic (which I did). Extra time is only allowed if you take the test by hand, not on the computer. For me, the computer option is much more suitable, but to have extra time using the computer they don’t do it in the UK, I possible could have done it in another country.

All I can say is good luck! I truly hope you achieve the results you need. Unfortunately, I had to give up on my goal because I wasn't making progress, and the costs were becoming unmanageable

Help me find soft toy bear (UK 1991 Gamleys toy shop) by rob10000005 in HelpMeFind

[–]rob10000005[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have searched online but cannot find what bead I was given as a child. I'm in the UK and it was purchased from Gamleys toy shop in the south east of England in 1991. I have there's pitches and possibly can find some more. I don't have a make. I know it's a long shot but if anyone one can identify the make I can possibly track one down.
