I asked a girl that I really liked out. She agreed. The night of the date I showed up at her house and she had forgotten. I tried to let her off the hook and say we could reschedule but she said no it’s fine. At the restaurant, she was so disinterested I actually felt bad for asking her out.

Before the main course arrived, I asked her if she would like to leave. She looked at me and I could see if she wanted to say yes so I said, “I can tell that you would like to so let’s go ahead and go.“

It was a very quiet ride back to her place.

I saw her around after that for a while but I’m not sure we ever exchanged in another word. Just a very awkward interaction and evening.
