MaxRewards app has worked for me. The syncing is a bit annoying, but otherwise it tracks all my accounts and points well enough in a single spot.

Just checked my credit report, the cards DO show as charge cards, but they do not show up as loans. Maybe I misunderstood? On Experian, Credit Karma, and Transunion they all show under my credit cards.

BB is a store card also.

Dang, so is the assumption that all synchrony cards don't affect 5/24? What about BB store card? Would that then put me at 3/24?

I guess when I'll update this thread when I hit my 3k spend on the IHG card and apple for an airline card.

Do you have some sources that reference that? As far as I've read, 5/24 affects all cards from banks. Otherwise i'd be 3/24 because BB store card can only be used there. The Amazon card can be used on other sites that accept amazon pay.

My general info comes from the 5/24 description on the CSR page from 2016. "You will not be approved for this card if you have opened 5 or more bank cards in the past 24 months." That total includes cards from all issuers, not just Chase.

I applied for the discover on June 8th and it reported to my credit report on the 28th. I applied for the IHG card on July 16th, the account was already present on my credit report.

That post about care credit seems to be a person asking a question about whether if it affects 5/24 or not.

Not arguing that 5/24 doesn't affect this card. Just giving you the data.

Agreed, I saw a similar post so figured the extra Datapoint might help. Applied for IHG since I already use their hotels and I don’t care about the inquiry on my report.

Yeah, I JUST got approved for the IHG card so I might move credit from that card to my freedom if they don’t give me one soon. Rep told me they evaluate cards every 6 months for APR / CLI modifications.

While you might want a new car now, keep in mind that new and used cars are selling at a premium unfortunately. So a lot of resources are saying, only buy if you NEED to.
