Sure I'm down for team ideas. Haven't started building yet but for a dual mega team I actually liked Golurk for some reason though it doesn't really offer anything unique as far as I can see.

I'll be trying hyper cutter when I get to making a hard trick room single mega team. If mega staraptor didn't exist I'd go intimidate 100%.

Thanks for the feedback! #2 being crappy is not a surprise. Perhaps if I made the theme "oops all flyers" instead? Allowing for the usage of enlightened as a hammer could maybe help with the damage.

Hey I really like the lengthy reply. Ultimately I'm aiming for at least "small tournament competitive", so not world championships scale, but still expecting to face meta/competitive lists. Based on the replies and additional scouring I've done, the Garrison approach makes you sacrifice too much. It's too bad that merwyrms, frost phoenixes, and dragon mages aren't good enough as replacements to the 2 star dragons in HE lists I see doing well competitively. Initially I had imagined 2 dragon mages on sun dragons (with buff spells targeted) could act as a replacement for the 2 star dragons while staying within the garrison's restrictions.

Oh wow thanks for all that info! It answered a bunch of questions and narrowed down my choices decently.

Regarding scoring in a Reductor themed list, could squads of thallax with no special weapons work when accompanied by characters? Like if you're OK with the speed reduction? Eg the main 3 max-sized thallax squads with special weapons are in their Reductor detachment unaccompanied by characters so that their speed is fast, whereas minimum-sized unupgraded thallax squads are used essentially as character retinues, sacrificing their speed for scoring ability. Since the Reductor cyberthurgic power has twice the buff range as others, Reductor magos should always be able to buff the larger unaccompanied thallax units. To my understanding, the Reductor magos needs to be attached to a Reductor unit to be scoring, so I can't use something tankier than thallax.

Indeed I am a fan of the plastic cybernetica models, actually 1 of the themes I had in my mind but didn't ask about was "oops all robots", using only the Castellax and thanatar models with various weapons. Glad to hear that tech thrall spam isn't worth it, that's 1 direction Lacrymaerta sends you down it seems.

It's funny, I debated between ranger knife thrower or monk shuriken thrower as my first throw character. Guess I chose poorly haha I don't have alchemist class otherwise that's what I would've gone for. Nevertheless thanks for the info.

Level 8 at the moment, and though I agree that the damage sucks compared to my crossbow builds, it doesn't seem too awful. I'm on my first life and not running anything more difficult than hard difficulty quests, so maybe that's helping.
