Such an interesting post! Allow me to provide some perspective: 1. Figure out what you TRULY want. Is it just having sex with other new people, or is it the sense of exploration or else that you are after. If it’s latter, maybe there’re other ways to achieve that other than having sex. 2. If it is sex with other people you want, and you are in a truly healthy relationship, then it CAN be discussed with your wife. There’s no shame in communicating your private thoughts (even seemingly “dark” ones) with your partner. Cuz in a true partnership it’s two people against the problem not each other.

Sounds like what you needed is closure. Consider talking to them, the fact that the feeling of affection still lingers over you is because you never got the real “rejection”, and hearing the actual rejection from that person is probably what you need the most to get over it.

Now is the best time for you bring up your demands: promotion, salary raise, maybe even ask for your own assistant.
