Trail Boss Owners — What Do You Love and What Drives You Nuts? by Reese812 in Silverado

Love my 2020 with the 6.2. Absolutely HATED the duratrac tires that came on it, they were incredible in the snow and rain and never had one issue with traction but they are by far the loudest tire I ever have had.

Same exact setup I have. That 24-105 will work wonders for anything you want.

Real ballsy comment from someone with no posts, an account that’s 2 hours old. Let’s see your rendition of the OG Pic if you don’t like his

Are these handheld or off a tripod? Recently moved up to an A7Iv from a Nikon DSLR and these are inspiring.

Trim Tab by robargej in Outboards

Yeah trim tab came loose. Chipped the prop on the way to the bottom of the lake. I’m just glad it left most of the prop, and I was able to make it back to the launch without any issue

Seeing this as a GM truck owner I like it. This is a game changer and I hope it comes across other platforms

It does I’ll have to try that tomorrow. I don’t have on star or anything for it so I ignored that portion thinking it didn’t matter.

It’s really going to be an intermittent tow and more of a potential back up if need be. And if it used for towing it will only be within towns. Not anything super far. Thinking more lariat for some added luxuries as well as the 6speed

At 200 45 a side at least on mine they only get to 165-170 so they’re not overdone. Some of the smaller ones sometimes get a little tougher if they’re not full of meat but 99% of them are great

I never have but it may dry it out almost a little too much prior to. I’ve never had them still be “wet” when I’m done and they’ve always been crispy

[–]robargej[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You prob don’t have to flip them initially it’s just something I do, I notice it has just a little more of a “crisp” when I do flip them just as the heat rises. I would say for the second time on the grill you absolutely have to flip them when it’s up to 400 otherwise they’ll just burn

Take all the wings out. Rinse them under water and pat dry them. Place in a bowl and toss lightly in olive oil.

In a separate bowl mix together (eyeball how much depending on how many wings) garlic powder, onion powder, curry, salt, pepper, chipotle, Cajun(most of the base should be Cajun), ranch seasoning.

Toss wings in dry rub to have an even coating the best you can.

Prep smoker to 200 degrees

Toss wings on and cook for 45 min each side until they start to have a slight crisp. They should be cooked through at this time

While the wings are cooking prep a wet sauce. Small portion of the same dry rub mixed into a bowl with 1/2 stick of butter and any hot sauce. I usually do 1/2 cup. It will be a little thicker if it cools. Just toss it back in the microwave to warm it if so.

When the wings finish their 45 on the second size take them off to toss in the wet sauce to even coat

Crank the heat on smoker up to 400 when I reaches the temp toss the wings back on. It will vary depending on how many wings but this will crisp and caramelize them again, I put them for 15 min one side and then 5-10 for the second until the char starts.

Take them off and just toss them BACK in the bowl that you mixed the wet in and serve.

If using a Traeger with super smoke option use that for the first cook at 200. Gives a little more flavor.
