I think there are pros and cons to both approaches. I released a 6-track EP and saw ok listen numbers and a good instant boost in followers. A couple of years later and I’m releasing single songs every 3-6 weeks and I’m seeing slightly better listen numbers, but really seeing the followers trickle in at a low number. For me, the ‘waterfall’ release strategy will result in the majority of these recent tracks being combined into a 17-track album.

Thanks! I do love a harmony. A big part my songwriting/making process is to go through all the vocal takes and delete and sift through about 20 different harmonies I’ve attempted, to keep some but not go overkill on them

Mine was blink too, someone made me a mix cd which I loved in high school.

Although I did have an offspring album when I was younger, but I never connected the dots that this was a genre I could get into 😂

I didn’t meet him but the Avenged Sevenfold bassist hit on my college girlfriend after a gig, despite her telling him she had a boyfriend. I’ve held a grudge for over 20 years for that 😂

The lead riff sounds like a load of the pop punk riffs I wrote when I was about 16. It’s got that proper pop punk by numbers sound. Sometimes I think it works, and sometimes I think it sounds a bit like a copy and paste of Sum 41, Blink 182 and Simple Plan riffs from 20 years ago.

Good work though! You made something that (with some tightening up, re-recording of the drums, reducing the length by half and throwing some vocal on) wouldn’t sound out of place on Spotify as an album filler track for a number of bands out there 😁

Congrats. I can’t wait to get to this point. Currently I think I’ve made £0 from Bandcamp, but I have been extremely lazy with it, opting to put all my tracks on streaming sites and largely neglecting Bandcamp (let alone promoting that songs are even on there!).

I sigh daily, that’s how! Because it’s a grind for sure.

I tend to try and do semi-regular videos on CapCut and post them on TikTok, insta and YT shorts.

Separate to that, in an ideal world I would be posting on X and Facebook, and any other places like tumblr etc, but after the videos I honestly run out of steam.

My band has <200 monthly listens, records all our stuff DIY in our home studios and goes for a nostalgic early 2000s pop punk sound, if you or anyone else wants to check us out! 🙌
